Location and Compound
The twelfth division headquarters is a sprawling mass of corridors and laboratories, built upon by each successive captain, it is by far the largest building in all of Seireitei. The buildings surrounding the headquarters are often absorbed by it as it grows, like a living organism the division compound is constantly changing and mutating. It is the home of Soul Society's access to the mortal realm, the senkaimon hall.
Duties
This division's past has been somewhat unclear. Many shinigami refuse to join this division because of their technical inclination and lack of attention to shinigami duty, but they are in fact one of the most important divisions to the Gotei 13. Among the things they produce are amateur trackers for the 9th division, reiatsu sensors, mod soul pills, gigais, and other reiatsu/technological devices. They are also responsible for operating the gate to the real world, initiating time-freeze dimensions, and granting shinigami permission to lift limiter tattoos.
