Appearance

Simple modern clothing.
Tattoo

He normally has very pale skin with a short mess of emerald hair . He has light brown-grey eyes; wearing thin framed glasses, for his eyesight is fairly poor without them. He also has a large traditional tattoo on his back that he got while still in the living world.

His is lean with a somewhat broad shouldered stance

He prefers simplistic clothing, more out of comfort and regency than anything else. He regards the current standard uniform for the Shinigami, he finds it just a tad too in the way. Currently he wears a modified Shitagi and Kosode that sits tight enough against his body that it doesn't restrict, but not all loosey-goosy . The sleeves are very tight fitting, with the ability to be laced and unlaced from his elbow to wrist. On his left arm, the laces are laced from wrist to elbow; on the right arm, the laces are laced from elbow to wrist. Embroidered on each wrist is 橘月読 . He wears a very slimmed down Tattsuke-bakama (The blousing bothers him and he feels it gets in his way) and the reach his ankle instead of mid-calf). He does away with the traditional Tabi and Waraji and wears a pair of sturdy mid calfed boots with a small flat heel (reinforced toe and heel.); it’s more of a safety reason more than anything else). You will also find him wearing a glass vial around his neck. The content inside is usually up of either fresh flora, dried flora, natural components of the flora or synthetic components (Made either from the Flora or completely something new to be like a flora compound) He also has a pair of gloves he wears when he is outside of the sanctum of his little area (Which is most of the time)

Personality

Tsukuyomi has a passive egotistical narcissism about himself. He doesn't like being the center of attention; often trying to blend into a wall and distance himself, but he often holds himself in a light of arrogance and coming with his narcissism, he feels that he is pure, and the flora is pure. Everyone around him are impure, and therefore he cleanses himself obsessively (mostly his hands, even when he wore gloves)…He also takes notes obsessively in normal day to day activity (And often documenting something that happens after an event he could not physically take notes with).

Being how he sees people he often disparages and mocks them tauntingly when speaking. He has a soft voice but it's demeaning and devaluing. This can sometimes be like he is cooing as if the other were a child…he does this quite frequently in battle more than anything; he wants to be the one attacked first.

He himself finds himself amused by pain that he inflicts upon himself (though this is not true when the pain is coming from an opponent). This fuels his interest of the physical reaction to pain his spiritual body gets, but he would prefer to watch someone wither under something painful he inflicted on them , for research purposes of course.

History

He was born on a snowy day, on December 5, 1892 in Sapporo, Hokkaidō; to Miyako and Toshitsugu.

He grew up comfortable enough, having his whim fulfilled whenever he wanted. He was a fairly brash boy while growing up, out shining his younger brother, Katsumi often. Tsukuyomi often was arid and careless towards his brother; often getting downright cruel and abusive when he had Katsumi to himself. This caused a huge onesided rift between the boys as they grew up together.

While Tsukuyomi displayed some of his personality at a younger age (his soon facination with flora, his notes that littered about), most of it did not occur until after November the 5th, of 1909. He was the tender age of 17 while his brother was aged 15. While discovering flora was his passion, he liked to collect plants and test them out on his family. The day of November the 5th, he had (being a novice in identification still) had collected Conium maculatum also known as Hemlock. He had no clue at the time what he had collected nor served to both his parents that day. His own surprised later that night as both his parents collapsed and withdrew their last breath and were gone from the living world.

When Katsumi found out about what had happened he was very angry with Tsukuyomi (because it was Tsu's fault unknowingly till they died). While Tsukuyomi was only 17 he lied to Authorities about his age and mentioned that he was 20 years of age, the age of Majority; this granted him the right of Guardianship over his brother.

From the subconsciece he was racked with guilt, but his mind only made him form a mantra of, 'I hold a human life in my hands, I can control a human's fate'. From there he professionally entered into the world of botony, often using his brother as an unwilling test subject in trying different concoctions made from flora byproducts (often almost bringing his brother to death, but somehow manage to not kill him). This pretty much occurred until Katsumi was aged 20 himself; from there he was able to leave Tsukuyomi's grasp.

In 1912, the year that Tsukuyomi actually turned the age of 20, he himself designed a design. It was of a moon and a flora. The moon symbolized the moon god for which he was named after, and the flower was for the purity and his love for flora. It took him a few months of 'Underground' searching but he found a traditional artist who had agreed to Irezumi the design on Tsukuyomi's back.

He died on August 14, 1916 at the young age of 23. He was fully foppish with a sprinkling of cockyness in his work as a Botanist the day he past away. He was unabashed about how correct he had been about his identification of Penna struthionis when he not only contrived a melange with both dried and fresh flowers into a tea, but when he apprehended the whole flora into his body along with the concotion. Unfortunate for him and his egotistical self, he misidentified Penna struthionis ; for it was not Penna struthionis but it was Nerium oleander instead. His death did not come right away, first coming in waves of nausea, abdominal pain, and vomiting. His body shook with tremors that lead into a collapse with multiple seizures. He then confronted a short lived coma before he was aphxiated by his airway clogging up and his own bodily fluids flooding his mouth.

His body wasn't found for a few days after his death. Some had thought he was suicide driven while others had thought that maybe Tsukuyomi's brother Katsumi had poisoned him. Katsumi had been placed under close suspicion; but he was later cleared of the event.

Tsukuyomi soul was anchored to a garden he used to tend to. He watched as the chain that was attached to his heart slowly erode. Solitude made him watch, judge the humans as he was left in alone. As he waited, slowly getting over the fact that he had died, he had figured out the flora that he had ingested was Nerium oleander a poisonous flower. Vaguly he recalls a whispy clothed person, thumping him on the forehead before he disappated.

He quietly led himself in District 59...withdrawing into himself more (While still calling passive attention to himself). He often worked in secretly experimenting on the children of his district and of lower districts with different concoctions he fabricated by offering food (Which occasionall was given). One day his behavior had been caught on (by a recruiting officer, no less)...not that he was that hard to not find, since he pretty much leaked reitsu enough to not hide him. Instead of being punished (well maybe it was punishment for him...he had to semi-socialize which he Abhors really badly) he was pushed into the Shinou Academy. He never excelled too well with swordbearing skills, enough to pass him, but the close contact freaked him out (his cleansing started fairly badly during his time in the Academy). He was a bit better with Kidō since he could work from a further distance.

He got accepted fair quickly (passing everything he needed too) into the 12th division for his side work of flora chemicals and synthsizing.
