Touchuukaku 凍中核 is Shimizu Yukiko's Zanpakutō.
In its sealed state, Touchuukaku is about the size of a nodachi, and is secured in Yukiko's obi. The tsuba consists of a puff of light blue feathers, which give the appearance of fur, not unlike the down of an owl. The wrappings of the hilt are a cerulean blue color. The blade itself doesn't reflect much light, and is also a very pale blue.

Shikai
Release Command: Kogoeshinu, Touchuukaku. (Freeze to death, Touchuukaku)
Yukiko holds her zanpakutō outward in front of her. Upon calling its name, a chilly wind picks up and the air can be seen swirling around her blade. Rime quickly accumulates on the sword, transforming it into a curved, double-edged blade not unlike a cross between a giant cleaver and the talon of a bird. The sword's tang is wrapped in a worn, black cloth, and widens out at the end. The blade is slightly transparent, its ice-blue metal reminiscent of the element it represents. Overall, though graceful, the sword's appearance reeks of death.
Shikai Abilities
骨凍 Honetou (Bone Chill)
Tōchūkaku's passive ability is always in effect. Whatever comes into contact with the blade of the zanpakutō, be it the edge, the back, or the broad side, will gradually be overcome with ice. This effect starts out at a snails pace, but accelerates with prolonged contact. brief slashes, for example, will only feel very cold. For extended periods of contact, such as the sword pushing against another, the other weapon will quickly begin to freeze over. It should be known, that for this reason, while slashing attacks tend to do as much damage as a normal blade, deep stabs that leave the sword within the wound long enough are potentially very dangerous. The ability of Yukiko's opponent to resist this effect is proportional to their total points relative to her total points. Closer numbers will result in the stated effect. At a point total of 100, an opponent who's total is 5 would freeze at the velocity of water downhill. Similarly, at a point total of 50, an opponent with a total of 500 points would experience little more than a chill for most of the contact, and icing over would only begin on the next post cycle. This ability passively drains Yukiko's reiatsu proportional to how much she freezes something. The initial contact consumes almost no energy, while a full body deep-freeze would leave her exhausted.
憑く寒風 Tsuku Kanpuu (Haunting Cold Wind)
Yukiko drives her sword downward, conjuring up a spherical icy windstorm with a 45.72 meter (150 foot) diameter. It brings the temperature of the area to dangerous depths, at which point the buffeting winds cover all victims trapped in its radius with rime. Their reactions are greatly slowed, and they are afflicted with relentless shivers. This storm lasts for two post cycles, after which it is unable to be used again for three. The effects continue to linger on the victims, much like they had just come inside from a blizzard. Though it consumes a lot of reiatsu (two subsequent uses will leave Yukiko extremely exhausted), unlike Honereiki, Tsukukanpū cannot be resisted via strength differences.
Strengths
Deep Freeze - Depending on how she uses it and how her opponent reacts, Touchuukaku can be deadly or relatively harmless.
Eye of the Storm - Naturally, Yukiko is totally unaffected by either of her shikai's abilities. The exception to this occurs under very specific circumstances (i.e., some kind of mirroring power or something).
Weaknesses
Remorseless Winter - Touchuukaku's abilites can be very costly. She is not able to use her shikai to its full extent all the time.
Friendly Ice - Tsukukanpuu and Honereiki do not discern between friend and foe. Either ability will affect both friends and enemies alike.
