Appearance
Takuya is just a little on the tall side at 5'9", but he is not gangly. He is of a medium frame, with well toned muscle. His face is a little on the broad side, and his nose crooked from a break. His hair is a dark brown that he gets from his mother's side of the family.
Personality
Takuya has never gave a damn about most of what his class mates care about. What he does care about is martial arts and spiritual well-being. He spends most of his time training and meditating. His grades aren't bad, but he is not the top of his class either. His family owns and runs a martial arts dojo where he works. There is also a family shrine where he meditates on the grounds as well.
Even though he doesn't have close friends, he stands up for anyone he knows, even if they aren't to kind to him. He struggles with knowing where he wants to go with his life. He knows what is important to him, but his father pushes him going to university and getting a degree, if only to come back to run the dojo.
He is fighting with finding what his purpose in life is, and it frustrates him, even though he tries to hide it behind his normal calm. The times when he does lose his calm, he loses his mind in it, ranting and raging. He did this many times as a child, which is when his father started to seriously make him train and meditate. He feels it inside himself like a black pit.
History
Takuya was born rather normally without any complications. His parents took him home to live and he grew up rather normally. The Nakamura's where well off, but they where not extremely rich either. He had temper tantrums from time to time as a tyke, but it wasn't until he was five that they became a problem. He was in a kindergarten class when he got angry at another child and broke his nose. When asked about it later, he always said that he couldn't remember any of it.
His father took him out of the daycare and spent the next two years helping his son learn to meditate and control his temper. By the time he entered into elementary school, he was able to keep himself calm and settled. He also started to train full-time in Karate in his families dojo, ending up as a teacher for kids his own age and even the teenage class. Taku entered into several competitions, both Karate and mixed styled ones. He became a nationally ranked fighter from the age of 11.
Through out it all, he kept his grades decent and meditated almost daily in the Kamidana that his family had on their grounds. He developed a very deep spiritual since, and around the age of 13 had his first meet with a plus spirit. He was walking home from his junior high school when he ran into a little boy who was crying. He had blood dripping from his mouth as well. What Taku didn't know was that the boy had died just a few days ago in a car accident. Taku helped the little boy to pass on after bringing him to his house. The next morning the boy was gone.
Takuya has had very sporadic interactions with spirits since then, and has lucky not had any encounters with hollows. He also hasn't met anyone else that could see the occasional spirit floating through the air from time to time either. But maybe that is all going to change.
Combat
Strengths
Intuitive Takuya has competed in many martial art competitions. He has become very adept at finding a drop in a persons defense or style.
Weaknesses
Rage- If Taku loses his cool, he starts to get sloppy and can give lots openings to his opponent.
Durability(or lack of)- being human, Taku's body is rather vulnerable, particularity when he isn't.
