Appearance
What Silva has red-gray eyes, blood red hair, and three tattooed lines running diagonally across her face (left to right) with the lower line crossing her left eye and the upper one crossing her right eye, in semblance of her father’s “mask”. She wears mostly standard Shinigami robes except instead of the normal white belt she wears a red noble scarf, and on the right sleeve she has the former noble house, Hesite's, crest. Her Zanpakutō is small, exactly 60 cm, and is almost never drawn. The guard contains symbols representing all of the elements (Fire, Water, Air, Electricity, and Earth). The blade is always wrapped in a black ribbon which makes it hard to draw in battle.
Personality
Silvia is aloof and distance. Her early childhood upbringing imprinted on her that she is better than the ‘common’ Shinigami. She only considers seated members, and major nobles to be her true equal and only Lieutenants, Captains, and Jaden to be superior to her. As far as Fullbringers and Quincy go, she views them even lower than most Shinigami. Normal hollows, she views them, are even lower still. Menos range from her Equal to superiors. Visards are the same as Shinigami. Arrancar are by and by better than she is. However she changes her opinions as she gets to know a person.
History
Silva is the only child of former noble Soron Hesite. Her mother died in childbirth. She was born in Rome, Italy, the daughter of a renegade Shinigami, but a mysterious disease robbed her of all memory of her childhood. This is what her father told her: She thinks she was born in a secluded fortress deep in Hueco Mundo, her father being a powerful Visard was able to keep all but the most powerful of Hollows and Arrancar away. The ones who he couldn’t defeat or scare away, He formed alliances with, which left him deluded into believing he was a very powerful and influential ‘person’ in Hueco Mundo. Silva grew up in her father’s courts, surrounded by some of the supposedly most powerful spirits in Hueco Mundo. She was taught the customs and style of Shinigami, Visoreds, Hollows, and even Arrancar. She was shown how to become a Visard (although she never became one). Her father was grooming her to infiltrate the Soul Society. Everything was going perfectly until Soron, in a fit of rage over the betrayal of several ‘major’ allies, lost control of his Hollow-esk Bankai, and started attacking everything in sight. He leveled the fortress, destroyed his network of alliances, and almost murdered Silvia. But at the last possible moment, Soron’s brother, Jaden, knocked Soron out, and took Silvia to Earth.
Once safely on Earth Jaden began teaching Silvia the true history of the Shinigami, the Nobles, and the Soul Society. He also began tutoring her in the Kidō arts, teaching her many different spells, including a small handful of forbidden spells, after extracting a promise from her to only use them in an extreme emergency. It was during Jaden’s tutelage that Silvia experienced her first vision; Jaden had just chanted a Kidō spell and was asking her to recite the chant. And then the whole world stopped. Silvia faltered mid chant, “May my will become by sword, may m-what the hell?” She looked around and then gasped as she saw her father standing before her.
“Silvia, my dear, how are you? Are you enjoying your Uncle’s training in Kidō? He is the best, after all.” He laughed, “Shocked? After all, I did lose to my hollow.” Silvia stammered, unable to speak. “I’ll take that as a yes, to all three of my questions. Well, listen up, and listen well, there is a hollow coming to find you and if it dose it will kill you. Your uncle can’t be of any help to you, he can’t see it, feel it, or even hear it. The hollow’s name is Caliban and there is long history between it and our family. It must not find you! Now, FLEE THIS PLACE!” her vision-father shouted as the world seemed to speed back up. Silvia looked around in surprise, nothing had changed, and she was still even in the same pose as she was before her father had shown up.
Quickly, Silvia told Jaden what had happened, and who the hollow was that was coming. At the word ‘Caliban’ Jaden became deadly serious. “Silvia, listen to me. You must run, Caliban cannot be allowed to set his claws in you. Jaden frowned in concentration as Etsuya, his silent blood-red panther Zanpakutō sprit, appeared. ”Etsuya, Caliban is coming for Silvia, my niece,” He nodded to Silvia, “Take her and run far away from here, to the Soul Society even. Just make sure that Caliban doesn’t get her.” The panther looked sadly at Jaden, and mewed. “Just go, I’ll be fine.’ Jaden lied. And then the Zanpakutō began to run.
Silvia fled with Etsuya for several days until, exhausted from the running and time away from his master, collapsed. As Silvia slid off of Etsuya and turned to tend to the sprit but was stopped by something completely unexpected, the sprit’s voice, “GO. LEAVE ME. GO TO THE SOUL SOCIETY. CALIBAN CAN NOT FOLLOW YOU THERE. LEAVE ME; I WILL BE FINE.” Silvia began to protest but was head butted by the panther and fell into a gate to the Soul Society, that Etsuya had placed her in front of. The gate sealed as soon as Silvia fell into it, leaving her no choice but to go forward, into the Soul Society. As she started her foot caught on something; a noble scarf, but instead of the normal white, it was red, red like the color of fresh blood. Bending down she picked it up and untied the belt that was part of the standard Shinigami uniform and tied the red scarf around her waist instead.
Silvia soon entered the Shinigami Academy, but due to her extensive preexisting training she jumped to the final year at the Academy. She showed great skill in Kidō and failed utterly at Zanjutsu. All her other skills were just about average, so she quickly passed the final exam and was placed in the 5th squad. She showed an intense interest in Shinigami deaths on Earth by hollows. She was searching for information about Caliban, Jaden, and her Father. So once a case that looked promising she asked to be involved in the case, sighting her skill with Kidō, to add something to the case. Her request was granted and she began her quest to find more about her family.
Combat
Strengths
She has had special training in and a gift for Kidō, she can recognize most Kidō just by their effects even some time after the Kidō was cased, including a handful of forbidden techniques. Do to her unusual upbringing she is well versed in a variety of wide ranging subjects from Shinigami history to Hollow, Visard, and Arrancar lore.
Weaknesses
No formal (or informal) training with sword. She has life-like visions that leave her in a trance while having them; the visions often come at inopportune times. Her knowledge wile wide ranging is spotty and slanted to make Shinigami look bad, she also has surprisingly little knowledge of Earth. She is ill-prepared for physical combat relying on her Kidō powers almost exclusively. (And yes she has poor people skills).
