Appearance
He is ambiguous in his dress sense and no-one knows whether he is male or female with a short stature and thin body. His hair is dark and short with one part of his fringe cover his right eye and pale skin. Light blue, piercing eye with an unnerving gaze and a wakizashi with a light blue hilt rests in the small of his back.
Personality
His personality is dependent on who he is interacting with. To the majority of people he remains quiet and lets his partner do the talking but when prompted to talk he will give minimal responses and has a neutral attitude. This could be read as arrogance but is just his inability to interact well with others. His emotions are minimal but his hatred for ice still follows him. Without his memories he is unsure of why he is as he is but everything links back to his human life. His abuse at the hands of his father, his abandonment from his new family and his untimely death in the frozen landscape.
To his partner, he is submissive; following any orders he gets but will speak up if he thinks there are better ways. He merely speaks up because he has become accustomed to him and feels comfortable around him. Despite usually being told a plan of action, he is a remarkable strategist, able to read situations well and adapt quickly to survive…a trait most arrancar have after surviving in the harshness of Hueco Mundo.
History
Born to an Icelandic family living in Svalbard, Sigurgeir's mother died during child birth and was resented by his alcoholic father because of it. The life of abuse lead Sigurgeir into a corner but being miles away from anyone he had no chance of escape. For years he suffered but became to tolerate it and lost all compassion for others along the way.
Sigurgeir’s father was a fisherman and good friends with a man named Thorstein Ildstad who partnered him on fishing trips but one day he voyaged without him and a freak storm hit the ship and he never returned. Sigurgeir didn’t feel anguish or sadness but a sense of relief, finally free, a realisation that burned a fire of ambition in his heart, a ruthless desire to make something of his, from his point of view, good fortune.
In 1955, Thorstein took Sigurgeir into his family after hearing of his friend’s death and treated him as his own. Being only 8 years old, the child was looked after by Thorstein’s son, Wilhelm who took a strange interest in Sigurgeir which was somewhat perplexing to him but he embraced the attention he had never had in his life. He taught the child how to act around others, help out around the house and was educated. The years went by and Sigurgeir became attached to the family unit and felt a close connection to Wilhelm. After around 3 years Wilhelm began to go out on fishing trips with his father and Sigurgeir was left in the house alone for weeks on end. With no-one to interact with and eating little, Sigurgeir began to relapse into his former self. Sigurgeir had ambitions to do something in life but didn’t know what to aim for and the feeling of hopelessness became greater as the years drew on, losing the one emotion that solely drove him forward.
One day, Sigurgeir couldn’t take being in the house on his own any longer and took a short walk past the frozen lake that lay past the house. In this arctic environment it isn’t uncommon for the local wildlife to be a present danger. A large polar bear caught him unaware and began to chase him. He ran and knew the only chance of survival was to get back to shelter. He would have to cross the lake to get back before exhaustion and the freezing conditions lead to death. He ran frantically making it to the middle of the lake when a hairline crack began to cascade from behind. It fractured out as he continued to run away but alas, it was too late. Falling into the icy lake, Sigurgeir became frantic and was scared as he sank into the water. Becoming disorientated, he tried to ascend to the surface but was only met by ice. Ice, the substance that blocked his chance at survival. He tried to break the ice but to no avail, his frail body now numb from the cold. He instantly felt hatred of it and while sinking once more, cursed that it ever existed before being lost in the shadowed depths of the lake.
The next thing Sigurgeir remembers is opening his eyes to a black sky and an intense headache blurring his vision. His hair was covering his right eye but there was no eye for it to cover, only a cold hard surface that wrapped around his head. He felt cold, a chill he found nostalgic but had no idea why. His only memories were the name Sigurgeir, the face of a young man and the vision of ice, a vision which brought about anger in his mind. He was dressed in white and a short blade sits across his lower back. Shards of a hard white material surround him including a large piece which looked like half an insects head.
“What is this? Where am I?”
His words were quiet and for himself as he tried to work out what was going on. He sat up to see a vista of sand surrounding him and suddenly he felt the presence of someone behind him, a tall, thin man, with eyes as blue as the sea. Sigurgeir looked at him and he felt drawn to him, like they had met before and he felt no malice from him at all and followed the stranger away. He turned back to where he was laid, as if it was the site of his birth, the ground was frozen and shards of ice were strung around the area. A birth from ice, how fitting…
He spent months with this man travelling the sands of this place he had awakened. He felt strong, but didn’t know why, agile and ruthless. Was this what he had always been? He didn’t want to think about it too much so he carried on, months went by and their bond became stronger. They complimented each other and chose to stay together, their fates, now intertwined.
Combat
Strengths
Agile: His body feels light and nimble and his small stature allows him to dodge most attacks with ease.
Combination: Combining with his partner allows for elaborate conjunction manoeuvres and unexpected outcomes which will catch enemies off guard. Ruthless Ambition: His main driving force is his ambition to achieve greatness, he prefers to keep this quiet but he is willing to go to great lengths to achieve what he wants.
Weaknesses
Fragile: Due to his small stature he can’t take many hits and relies on his agility entirely.
No memory: His memories fail him as he currently is. He is disorientated and lost so very green in the way this world works.
