Location and Compound

The Division HQ and surrounding area.

The seventh division headquarters is among the tallest in Seireitei, a pagoda sitting upon a wooden board walk and overlooking a small forest which borders a lake, it and the surrounding buildings contain various training chambers dedicated to the division's important work of protection. Ever paranoid and concerned with defence, the various captains of the seventh division have left their mark upon the surrounding area by making the headquarters difficult to approach directly.

Duties

This is a division of guardians, their duty to set aside selfishness and defend others. This goes beyond merely slaying opponents that cross their path, they must keep in mind the safety of their ward, be it a person or object, prince or pauper. Their protection even extends towards other Shinigami, making them team players as they hold off enemies to protect their allies.

Central Guard

This is a high-level group of shinigami, who answer only to the Captain and Vice-Captain of their own Division. Hand-picked by the Captain, all of these shinigami are the strongest, fastest, and most secretive of the Division. Their duty is to guard and patrol the living-quarters of the Central 46, ensuring that nobody who does not live there enters at any time and summarily executing anybody who does. None of these shinigami appear on official rosters of the Division, and none of these shinigami are allowed to leave the group once they have entered.

Even they, however, have never seen the face of a Central 46 member.
