Personality
Being raised in Zaraki for most of his "pseudo-life", Ryuto has grown up adapting to harsh living conditions, therefore, always keeping a wary eye on his surroundings. He loves excitement and a good challenge. Towards his peers, he would show them absolute respect in two conditions: one, if they respect him and two, if they deserve it. Otherwise, Ryuto would tell that person what he thinks without taking a second thought to the situation. Even if that person was a thousand times stronger than him, there would be no point in letting him or her swim in their own ego. Even though his past has been rough, he only sees that moment of time as the past. He won't let his competitive side to take over his duty as a shinigami.
History
Before the Meiji Revolution, a child was born. However, he died in a fire along with several other children. That child arrived in the eightieth district of Rukongai, Zaraki. A rundown district in itself, this child who was given the name, Ryuto, was taken care of by children of that village that were just trying to make it through another day. As the years and decades passed by, the child known as Ryuto grew up adjusting to the lifestyle that was given to him. Some of the other children grew up as well, while the others…..well they didn’t.
As a place that was home to thieves and murderers, Ryuto and the remaining villagers had to learn how to defend themselves from such threats. The idea of the Shinigami from Seireitei coming to their aid always stayed with them, but they knew that it would be a long shot for anyone who could even make a change to stroll by their village. If anyone was going to make a change, one of them would have to go to the courts themselves and become a shinigami in order to make a difference back home. Three residents from Zaraki entered the Shinigami Academy, including Ryuto, hoping to one day return and change Zaraki forever.
During their Shinigami training, Ryuto specialized in the art of Zanjutsu, being that carrying weapons were a way of surviving the night in Zaraki. Through the six years of training, Ryuto picked up on other skills as well, including using and controlling reiatsu. Not only did his learn new ways of fighting, but he also learned how to adjust to a whole new lifestyle, living within the courts. Finally graduating, after six grueling years, Ryuto has become a shinigami for Seireitei
Combat
Strengths
Ryuto is all about using his blade in battle. Zanjutsu and Hohō are the types of combat techniques that Ryuto mostly relies on in the battlefield. Despite his zanpakutō having a beast-like spirit, he learns pretty quickly. his is due to his eyesight and reaction skills. It's hard catching him with the same attack twice. Ryuto has strengthened his spiritual body over the years. Although he isn't a mass of muscle, he knows how to use them with little energy .
Weaknesses
Chanting spells isn't one of Ryuto's strong suits. Although he can use some destructive spells, Ryuto has no skill when it comes to using other spells such as Bakudou. Not only is chanting spells a weakness, but knowing the spells as well. If he were to face someone that knew some high level spells, Ryuto wouldn't know how to defend himself and therefore would most likely get caught in whatever destructive or binding spell one may chant. His zanpakutō has attacks that also cause damage to him as well, basically a double-edged sword. Ryuto also has to have mobility in order to have a chance in battle. If Ryuto was caught in a bakudou spell and couldn't move, it would be over for him.
