Raijin (Thunder/Lightning God) is Sensha Saigen's Zanpakutō.
The sealed state of Raijin is a Uchigatana weapon. The blade is 70cm’s long, and a blue-grey color that does not shine. The Hamon of Raijin is a swirling mass of black clouds that, if watched carefully, actually move and produce blue-white lightning bolts like a real storm cloud. The Tsuba of the weapon is a Gold Tomoe, to resemble the color of Raijin’s eyes.

Spirit Description
Raijin, at first glance, looks similar to a tall man in dark clothing. His pale complexion is the first give away that this man is only human-like. In truth, he is a demon being. His upper canines are elongated to the point of protruding from the mouth slightly, and his eyes are a gold color. Raijin’s hair is a dark grey, and in a spike-like hairstyle. Raijin is constantly followed by a ring of small drums that either surround his midsection or float behind him, and are embossed with a gold tomoe.
Being the god that he is, Raijin is very difficult to deal with. Often times He’ll be condescending to Sensha, something he isn’t used to. He often refers to Sensha as, “Fujin” in reference to Sensha’s title as Ventus Erus (Wind King) in his former life. “Wind Bag,” and, “Air Head,” is also common pet-names thrown around. He is, however, a very wise being. Often times He’ll slip advice to Sensha in times of need…albeit in a manner that made it a kind of insult, but he means well.
After all, if Sensha were to die who else would he bug?
Shikai
Sensha grasps his weapon in his right hand and dramatically stabs it into the ground, exclaiming, “Crash Down, Raijin!” At this point, a bolt of lightning strikes Raijin, and then transfers to Sensha’s fists forming into Tonfa.
Raijin’s released state is that of twin Tonfa, dark grey in color (just like the blade of its sealed state). These weapons are two and a half feet long, the handle’s resting at the two foot mark. This leaves a six inch protrusion that ends in a spike, often used for jabbing. Raijin’s twin Tonfa are encompassed in the same swirling, moving clouds that are upon its sealed state…however the lightning they produce is much brighter and much more common.
Shikai Abilities
Charged State
Raijin's strength surges into Sensha's weapons and body, giving him a powerful electrical charge. This causes anything touched/hit by Him or his tonfa to be violently electrocuted.
If an enemy is struck by Sensha in this state, an electrical current is passed through them causing severe pain, paralysis, and death in the weakest of opponents. Sensha can control how powerful the current is, dictating just how much damage he can cause to a person if hit; Anywhere from a crippling amount of pain(depending on the strength of those under its affects) to a small static shock barely noticable. The affects of the electrocution can be amplified significantly if Sensha's opponent is impaled by his Tonfa, so much so that death is most likely imminent.
Static Armor
A second, more important ability granted by the control of the strength of Raijin is the charged states power to nullify and weaken damage to Sensha. The bolts of electricity that skip around his body actually change the air closest to him in such a way that it nullifies weaker reiatsu based attacks. Any reiatsu based attacks from an opponent with half of Sensha's reiatsu are now completely ineffective against Sensha in this state. Attacks greater then half or equal to Sensha's reiatsu do about half as much damage then normal.
Sensha's control over Raijin's power allows him to sustain a fully charged state(his whole body) for 2 uses per topic, each use lasting 5 posts. As for keeping a partially charged state(his weapons), he can maintain it indefinitely.
Strengths
Raijin, a Tonfa-styled weapon, lends itself well to Sensha’s chosen martial style of Muay Thai. Its long shafts extend Sensha’s strike range by two feet, and being blunt are both apt to high defensive as well as combat capabilities. The charged state that he can maintain also boasts his defensive prowess, making him an extremely difficult opponent for those who use reiatsu-based attacks.
Weaknesses
Being a close range weapon, Raijin is at a disadvantage to long range techniques(although the charged state helps compensate for this weakness). Its ability is powerful, but relatively short lived.
