Kuchigaki
From Inga no Kusari wiki
Kuchigaki (Affidavit) is Haruhana Hanako's Zanpakutō.
Unreleased, the zan takes the form of a ninjato. The sheath is a navy blue colour and is decorated at the mouth and end with golden embroidery. The guard resembles a fully-bloomed cherry blossom.

Spirit Description
A slender woman with grey skin, medium-length black hair and crimson eyes. She wears a revealing dress made of black leather and fur. Three black feathers, red at their tip, flow from the back of the dress. She keeps a small quill, made of a similar feather, on her person at all times.
Half of her inner world is luminous; Bright, green, cheerful. The grass is green, and the world is full of creativity. The other half is dark, twisted. The vines and trees are old and corrupted, and no natural life can exist within it's reaches. The spirit frequently moves from one half to the other.
Shikai
Release Command: Shinjitsu o noberu, Kuchigaki (Speak the truth, Affidavit)
The nodachi (in sheath) straightens completely, and becomes a giant paintbrush, the size of a staff. The brush is embroidered in the same fashion as the nodachi, at the bottom, and right before the brush hairs. It seems the brush always has ink.
Shikai Abilities
At the command "Egaku" (Draw), the brush is darkened with ink. The ink allows Hanako to 'paint' black orbs of reiatsu into existence. They float around where ever they were drawn, until Hanako makes use of them. Hanako can only summon one orb at a time, but he can summon one orb for every 5 reiatsu he has (e.g., 125 reiatsu means 25 orbs at the maximum), and he can re use the ability as many times as he wishes. They are charged by his own reiatsu (meaning that destroying the orbs requires a level or reiatsu higher than Hanako's).
Hanako can activate the power of the orbs by touching them once more with his zanpakuto's embroidered end. This causes the orbs to take shape, and attack. Unlike their docile orb nature, when the apparitions take shape, they are highly dangerous, and will attack the first thing they lay eyes on (usually, the opponent or a decoy). Their speed is based on Hanako's movement, and the power of the creatures depends on the difference between Hanako's reiatsu and the opponents. While one creature is out, no others can be summoned.
- At the command "Kuma", Hanako summons a bear, to attack grounded targets. The bear moves and acts like a normal animal, and therefore isn't the fastest creature.
- At the command "Taka", Hanako summons a large hawk, to attack aerial creatures. The hawk is notably frail against large, powerful targets, which is why it never flies too low.
- At the command "Same", Hanako summons a shark, to chase submerged targets. In order to use this summon, however, the orb has to be painted over a body of water.
Conversely, Hanako can also simply 'detonate' the orbs while in the docile state by using the command "Sakebu" (Shout). This will cause all apparitions (including animals) to explode in a blast of ink, dealing damaged based on the difference between Hanako's reiatsu and the opponent's.
Shousetsuka (Fiction writer) - A dangerous technique for even Hanako to use, at the command "Kakikaeru" (Rewrite), Hanako can summon a situation using a mixture of his blood and reiatsu as ink from the zanpakuto. Because of it's nature, Hanako rarely ever uses it for his own safety; That aside, it's highly frowned upon for it's potential. At a cost of 50 reiatsu per post (e.g., using this ability for five posts would require 250 reiatsu skill points as a base), Hanako can rewrite the setting around himself for roughly 1/4 of a mile in circumference (the centered point being Hanako), as long as it doesn't affect anyone directly (Can't go killing anyone, or otherwise powerplaying). The rocky battlefield can become a ocean, and vice versa. This process takes time, as Hanako must write out the new setting, and afterwards leaves him unable to act further, because of the required level of concentration to maintain the setting. This is no illusion; the threats of Shousetsuka are very real to both Hanako, his opponent, and anyone else.
Strengths
- Reiatsu-based abilities allow Hanako to make up for lesser weapon/melee skill. - Strong against foes with lesser reiatsu levels.
Weaknesses
- The apparitions are useless against faster opponents, who can dodge or outrun them, as their speed is based on Hanako's speed. - All of Hanako's abilities has a 1-post requirement to summon forth. Thus, there is a period of time where he is notably vulnerable. Aside from this, none of the abilities physically help Hanako, defensively; He has to rely on technique and timing.
