Ketteiteki Kanenone
From Inga no Kusari wiki
Ketteiteki Kanenone (Final Toll) is Reathin's Zanpakutō.
Ketteiteki Kanenone looks older than it really is. The metal, while clean, appears much like an antique blade. The hilt-guard appears to be an hourglass set perpendicular to the blade, rounded and filled with silver sand that moves of its own accord at a steady rate (one can actually tell the time from it, with a little practice). The grip appears well worn and faded and there is a green tassel on the edge.

Spirit Description
Ketteiteki Kanenone is not only a blatantly inhuman seeming being, but he resembles nothing found in nature. Gargantuan in size, he towers over most buildings, though much of his body is empty space. His form is a ring of interlocking brass and black iron gears, with 12 arms spaced evenly along the rim. 6 of those arms are outward facing, while the remainder fold inwards to cup a sphere of blue-green energy directly within the ring's center. Each arm hovers on its own right, and he has no wrists to speak of (much like the arms as a whole, his hands float independently near where a wrist would be). Each arm proper consists of a massive hourglass where glowing silver sand flows back and forth heedless of gravity, with thin lines of shining brass weaving on the surface of the glass. His hands are blocky, stony projections alight with blue-green runes around a central core of similarly colored energy in the palm. Jutting slightly from the edge of the fingers are pendulums that serve a similar purpose to human fingernails. Ketteiteki Kanenone speaks with a thundering booming voice while alone or with Reathin. In the event that he addresses to others, his voice sounds like a distorted version of their own, echoes of what their tones might have been, usually with many versions overlapping and slightly out of synch. At the "top" of the wheel of gears is a skull-like face composed of polished brass, sans a mouth. Surprisingly, this does not look particularly macabre.
Personality wise, Ketteiteki Kanenone is philosophical almost to a fault. Not well grounded in reality, he tends to see unlikely potentials and past possibilities as just as important as what is and did happen. He appreciates being helpful, but his unique perspective occasionally limits him. Full synchronization requires open-mindedness, sometimes to an unhealthy degree. Ketteiteki Kanenone himself is exceptionally gullible and is willing to believe just about anything. While all avatars bear their powers, Ketteiteki Kanenone's function a bit differently. Much of his apparent insanity comes from the fact that his version of What May Yet Be is far broader and less distilled. He sees (or thinks he sees) all possible futures, far beyond the few seconds Reathin uses. Since he can't fully distinguish them based on likelihood however, this has no practical effect and merely provides a source of constant confusion to avatar and wielder both. With time, Reathin can help ease him into focusing more clearly, but this converts the broad version into the regular version of What May Yet Be (see below).
Shikai
Release Command: Kosu (Transcend) Ketteiteki Kanenone is a dual-blade release. The right blade is the longer and has a double-helix-esque structure with ornate tip, resembling a clocktower's minute hand torn from its face. The left weapon possesses the same shape but is shorter and somewhat thicker (the resemblance to a minute and hour hand is obvious). Both weapons are much longer than an average sword (5 and 4 feet respectively), but move as easily as a much more mundane weapon. Both edges glimmer with green-white energy surrounded by a turquoise aura and hum quietly.
Shikai Abilities
In shikai, Ketteiteki Kanenone possesses a trio of abilities that relate to limited time manipulation.
What Once Was
With this ability, Reathin may peer into the past of an individual, developing a post-cognitive sense. He can aim for specific times or instances if he wishes, or accept a general sense of the subject's life. The former is faster, the latter can be disorienting, sometimes causing temporary memory confusion without experience. Reathin must aim this ability at a living being: objects lack the reiatsu (however minimal, in the case of normal people) to resonate with this ability. An individual in contact with Ketteiteki Kanenone can, with Reathin's permission, share the effect. The information is conveyed through vivid vision including all the senses, though no matter how long it takes to view the information, the effect is instant in reality. The power fortifies the mind to prevent insanity that might result from having too much of another person's life shoved into their head so fast, aforementioned memory confusion aside.
What Is
Reathin may partially displace himself or others within local time, modifying their ability to move within timespace. Mechanically, this manifests as the ability to slow down or speed up a being. The being to be affected must be in contact with one of the two swords to be effected (though it need not be the blades themselves. The hilt-guard, grip and such are perfectly acceptable). The target moves faster or slower, depending on which aspect of this ability was used. The effect lasts for about 30 seconds. It should be noted that, since they are moving “faster” or “slower” based on modified time, their true velocity is unaffected (and so the force of their attacks is not modified). While under the hastening effect, everything else seems to move more slowly, while the subject feels otherwise normal. Likewise, the slowing effect makes the world seem to move more quickly from the perspective of the victim. While it is them changing, subjectively, it seems that the world is the one being modified. Those under the effect of this power hear a ticking noise (fast paced when accelerated, slow pace when their movement is slowed).
The exact degree of speed modification is based on Reathin's power level. When he only possesses shikai, the motion is a considerable modification, but not as extreme (in either direction) as, say, flash step in and of itself (though obviously a flash step improved would be yet faster). A sped-up being will remain visible, if somewhat blurry, and a slowed down individual will still be able to react to attackers. At a level when Reathin would have bankai (regardless if he has actually unlocked it), he may push the target (again, including himself) into a more removed timestream. A sped-up individual perceives the world as frozen. A slowed-down individual is effectively paralyses, detecting no time passing. However, beings in modified time cannot effect those in standard time and vice versa. As such, a slowed down target is completely invulnerable for the duration. A sped-up target has the option of attacking, but doing so snaps the target into the same sped-up level, enabling them to fight back (and counter the original attack much the same way as someone would counter flash step). Much like the shikai-only level, the actual velocity has not changed, however it might appear, and attack force is not modified (this also prevents things like sonic booms and the like). At senkai level (again, whether Reathin has actually achieved the ability is irrelevant. Only the total points are) the speeds do not become more pronounced, but the effect can be sustained for a full minute at a time, rather than 30 seconds.
What May Yet Be
Sifting through the possibilities of the future, Reathin may attempt to read the currents and see what is to come. Since the future is in flux, this power does not grand him perfect precognition. Instead, he sees a number of the more likely instances a few seconds ahead of time, allowing him to possibly do something about them.
Mechanically, when used offensively, this would manifest as a few possible descriptions of likely takes on the situation. The opponent is by no means bound to work within them, although given that they're more likely, it probably should have decent odds of working at least once in a while.
Strengths
Useful for keeping out of harms way and finding just the right way and time to attack.
Weaknesses
What Once Was and What May Yet Be lack precision and are not always useful. What Is requires direct contact to be of any use against opponents.
