Appearance

Jessica stands about 6', tall for a woman, with iced brown hair, brown with blonde died tips, that moves just past the neck, fluffy and permed, pale blue eyes and a horribly fair complexion. She wears female tuxedos out of the confusing factor to her opponents at the poker table.

Personality

Jessica is quiet, reserved, calm and for all intents and social purposes, a mute. She doesn't like talking and rarely does, people are stupid and the things that come from their mouths prove it. So, she takes the high road in conversation, preferring to talk to herself or to a friend on the phone after work. She doesn't enjoy being alone, but at the same time, she doesn't like being in a large group. Her actions speak much louder than she ever will. In essence, she is arrogant and self centered due to how illogical human reactions are. She has little to no faith left in humanity in general, as such it leads her to be very judgmental and introverted.

She also has an extreme case of Merinthophobia from growing up in Las Vegas and being hazed by other girls because she was anti-social and did not fit into the lines that cliques have. Jessica was not really a loner so much as she could not stand being a peon or a follower when she did not believe or trust something, both of which are something she seldom does.

On top of all of it, Jessica believes her life is behind a deck of cards, gambling it away with a smile and a handshake at the end of the game. While her luck may suck, she has replaced most of her luck with strenuous amounts of talent. Which just comes from practicing and repetition of most tasks to the point where she has the skill to out due her lack of luck.

Jessica has changed while in Japan, no one understands her so being snarky and annoying is a lot more her style considering how stuck she is. She views the new place as absolutely stupid, and completely out of reality for all intents and purposes. After all, there's creepy looking mask monsters, people who let 5 year olds into bars, professors who claim that there's a supernatural dimension or something or another. On top of all of it, Jessica has no idea what's going on and believes she's going insane. Which, she may very well be.

History

Jessica's family lived in some of the more high-class condos right outside of the strip in Las Vegas and being a child from Las Vegas was rather desensitizing. While she did not spend time in Casinos, her father worked the shifts right after she would get home from school which lead to him not being around, but still free as he only worked four days a week, from Thursday through Sunday and fight nights. Her father was known for being one of the final table dealers for years in the world poker tournaments and due to his years and years of being a dealer in tournaments was frequently requested by high rolling customers for high-stakes poker games. Though, Jessica's mother said he always had a knack for being the one guy no one notices; as such she came to the conclusion that it was hereditary.

As for her being a child of Las Vegas. Jessica had been in the casinos, seen security toss people out, people get into fights, the random overdosing people on the side of the road. She knew the rules around the city were different from the rest of the world, her mother was a police detective, and as for long nights with lack of parents were frequent, but taught her how to grow up rather easily. There wasn't much in the way of hard knocks as people like to say it, it was more just going with the flow of the area around her. She knew that fight nights were nights not to be on the town, lights would keep you up all night if you didn't close the black-out shades. Everyone's looking for a hand out and most people were either addicted or trying to lose something in the city. The strip was beautiful at times, Jessica would open the window and just doze off while writing a paper late at night. Though, she is officially sick of Elvis Presley's "A little less Conversation" after living in Las Vegas for so long.

As Jessica grew older she disliked people more and more, bullied, and hated by the other girls with no guys paying any attention to her she quickly became reserved and rather distrusting. Being bullied as a kid because you are a bit different and antisocial happens. So, other kids would ignore her to keep up their social appeal. She was slowly going insane.

However, Jessica was raised in Las Vegas, the number of stories of murder, and other violent crimes that included some poor woman being bound and left for dead would eventually lead to a case of Merinthophobia. Jessica had a fear of being tied up due to the implications that came with it in Las Vegas as a girl growing up near the strip. Though this was stemmed off reading the news as a child, that combined with the hazing from other girls from her anti-social nature ended up with her tied up in the boys bathroom during high school, and scared her to the point where she never wanted to be tied again.

Jessica became a poker player at a young age, after all her father was a dealer in Las Vegas. He taught her the ins and outs of the game. Saying it was just like her, luck based and completely circumstantial based on how you looked at it. Even playing 100% on averages, there are times when skill or luck are the only things that allow you to win the game.

This was Jessica's forte, she could play the game almost perfectly, no facial changes, she liked the whole old western saloon poker thought. She enjoyed going to games and sitting at a table of up to ten social people and not saying a word. Her dad seemed to be proud of the ability she had to play poker, but it was nothing like his. Where he had perfect luck on top of the skill, Jessica's swinging luck seemed to only put her in defensive positions.

After high school, and attending Santa Clara University for the study of forensic communications. Which, sadly was rather uneventful short of the massive amount of poker games in the dorms and going to visit her parents on the weekends. Jessica's weird aura led to her winning the Vegas Invitational when the hand before the last, when she should have lost, was called because she saw the opponents cards prematurely. This happened because a man in the front row of the audience dropped a coin, which the Security guard tripped on, and pushed over the dealer, who bumped her opponent, calling the match as his cards landed right side up. She was then invited to the Japan World Poker Tournament for her win by sheer random coincidence. So, with a deck of cards and a bit of luck, she headed to Japan.

Jessica arrived in Japan just to lose her passport. From there she went to a few under the table poker games to make enough money to get one sent back from the Embassy.

Being stuck in Japan made her start trying to find her way around the city at the very least, and though that didn't go very well and all she managed to do was get more lost she

A short while later she met the first other spirit forming person she had ever met, Rorek Ambrosius.

Combat

Strengths

Just human - Jessica's soul looks like a slightly more powerful human, nothing else. She does not have high amounts of reiatsu or spirit power or anything of the sort, really until she starts doing anything, you can't feel her presence more "than hey that human has a tasty soul."

Pressure Immunity - Because she cant feel or see spirit pressure, or spiritual presence, she's immune to its effects.

Weaknesses

Miss Fortune - Jessica has a natural aura of bad luck and good luck around her, whichever she is experiencing, the other person seems to just experience the other.

Merinthophobia – Fear of being Tied Up. Jessica come's from Las Vegas, there are stories of young girls being abducted and bound and then killed just about once a month. As such Jessica developed a very distinct fear of being tied up. It can cause her to freeze up entirely just at the mention of it, and that's before binding spells.

See, Speak, Hear No Evil - Jessica has no reaistu sense, none. Without her fullbring's abilities, she is flying blind. She has to hear/see spiritual beings before she actively can tell.
