Ikkatsu
From Inga no Kusari wiki
Ikkatsu (Cry of Thunder) is Zenchiku Ishikawa's Zanpakutō.
The Zanpakuto appears simply as a blue-handled katana of average length having a rectangular guard with rounded edges.

Spirit Description
Ikkatsu takes on the form of a large Kirin with ghostly blue flame enshrouding its body; as a spirit of thunder, Ikkatsu endows Zenchiku with the elemental powers of wind and lightning. All of which is depicted within his inner realm which consists of a sparse landscape of towering pillars of earth caught between thunderstorms raging overhead and beneath, obscuring any sky or land that might be present beyond them. The only safety from the howling winds, flashing lightning and deafening thunder are the pillars of earth themselves that sit exactly between both of the storms, just out of reach of their destructive power. Ikkatsu resides in the very center of all of them, standing atop the largest of the stone pillars as if to claim the domain for itself. Ikkatsu is in fact the representation of everything Zenchiku wishes to be - as powerful and unyielding as a raging storm but also wise and compassionate enough to not lose himself within it.
Shikai
Release Command: Yurugu za Tsuchi, Ikkatsu! (Tremble the Earth!)
With the command spoken, the zanpakuto is surrounded by a pulse of visible energy starting around the guard, then rushing forwards to close in on the tip of the sword, changing the shape of the blade as the energy moves.
The straight bladed katana transforms into a larger version of itself, gaining an additional foot in length and doubling in width. Attached to the back of the sword now rest ten gold rings that hum quietly with suppressed energy.
Shikai Abilities
Zenryoku (All One's Power)
The ten rings on the back of the sword aren't simply for show, but are where the full power of the Shikai comes from. These rings are a direct representation of both Zenchiku's inner strength and the zanpakuto spirit's alignment with lightning. When a ring is used, it vanishes from the back of the sword - vaporizing in a small shower of electrical current. Once released, the energy sealed within a ring suffuses Zenchiku's body in a nimbus of blue reaitsu that increase his natural abilities in a number of ways: be it a Kidou, Hakuda, or one of the zanpakuto's other abilities. For a single post cycle the targeted skill (We/Me/Mo) receives a point boost equal to 10% of Zenchiku's maximum Reiatsu score, rounded down. Kidou attacks gain a similar increase; fully chanted spells are given an additional percentage increase equal to the 10% of his Reiatsu, though may never go above an additional 50% in strength. Chantless Kidou gain no more than 25%, putting them at maximum of 3/4 as strong as they would be normally.
-
Until Zenchiku has expanded his skills enough to unlock the use of the sixth ring he'll only be able to use one at a time - once he has surpassed this limitation, he'll be able to use a maximum of two at a time. This won't allow him to add double the power to anything, but instead allow him to lengthen the time he retains the boost to his Hakuda (Melee) or Hohou (Movement), or combining that increased speed and strength for a single post cycle - it will even let him boost dual Kidou spells once he becomes able to cast them.
Makurakaze (Bolstering Wind)
The second of the zanpakuto's abilities expresses its affinity with wind, acting as an innate constant power that allows Zenchiku to extend or condense his reaitsu along the length of the blade. When the power is used to extend beyond the blade it creates a cutting wind with every attack made, letting the blade sink deeper into enemies - the wind acts to increase the blade's width, not it's length - as well as cut those who have blocked his attack but are still in the way of the blade and close enough for his reaitsu to reach them. The wounds won't be as severe, but it can be enough to slowly wear someone down if they continue to be cut time and time again as they try to stop his attacks. Condensing his reaitsu works much the same way, though it can only be done on smaller sections of the blade, including the flat of the sides, which can allow him to block and deflect stronger physical attacks with his weapon, possibly giving the appearance that he's stronger than he appears to be. This part of Makurakaze isn't suited for dealing damage and is primarily used to be defensive, but it can still be used to strike against another's blade with increased force to drive them back and throw them off balance.
-
The physical aspect of the blade is determined completely on his Weapons ability, but the power of Makurakaze - whether used to attack or defend - is based on the level of Zenchiku's Reiatsu skill, equivallent in power to the maximum level of Kidou spells he can effectively cast, halved. The length the attack extends is also equal to his level of Reiatsu, allowing for one inch of distance for every 10 points. Offensively, this adds a half powered Hadou attack to the physical attack. Defensively, it adds a half powered Bakudou as protection. At the cost of one ring Murakaze's range increases by half and its power becomes equal to his maximum level of Kidou.
Tsuirakujinrai (Crashing Thunderclap)
The final ability of the Shikai is a culmination of Zenryoku (lightning) and Makurakaze (wind) brought together to create a powerful attacking force, automatically releasing one of the rings to envelope Zenchiku in a strong aura of crackling blue energy that serves to cause most of the damage when he attacks. Tsuirakujinrai is a simple attack at its core - a straight rush towards a target with a thrust or slash of the sword, resulting in a combination of cutting force and explosive Kidou-bases shockwave released by the technique. Tsuirakujinrai biggest weakness is that when using it, Zenchiku is limited to moving in a single direction - requiring a clear line of sight, otherwise destroying whatever is in the way first and possibly releasing the energy of the attack before he reaches his intended target. Because of this, the attack is best used when attacking from above where he can dive down directly ontop of his opponent and crush them beneath the power of Ikkatsu.
-
To even use Tsuirakujinrai, Zenchiku must possess atleast 100 reiatsu and 50 We/Mo. His levels in these three attributes determine how accurately he can strike, how quickly he can move (and the distance he can cover) and how much damage is created by the shockwave, which increases in diameter by five feet for every 50 points of Reiatsu Zenchiku possesses. When using Tsuirakujinrai additional rings cannot be expended to increase skills at the same time.
Strengths
Power Boost: One of the Shikai's greatest abilities is allowing Zenchiku to draw on his reserves of reaitsu to strengthen himself and his attacks, which can make him a dangerous opponent depending on how he uses this ability. Releasing the power of the rings with Makurakaze can increase it's initial power, allowing him to deflect stronger attacks or even slice through powerful Kidou styled attacks.
Unblockable: His Makurakaze isn't really unblockable, but it does allow for him to injure an enemy who stops his attacks. Once someone has figured out how his attack works, they can easily block the weapon without their body still being in the way of it, but it requires them to move their bodies to the side where their strength isn't entirely behind their sword, which could give him an advantage of leverage over them. Similarly, Tsuirakujinrai is likely to deal its full damage regardless of someone trying to block it due to it's damage coming almost entirely from a Kidou based attack.
Spiritual Link: Because the rings are actually his own spiritual energy sealed into physical form he doesn't need to be in contact with his Zanpakuto to release them. He won't be able to use Makurakaze or Tsuirakujinrai without his sword, but the additional power will still allow him to increase the strength of his Hakuda and Kidou, or boost the speed of his movements using Hohou.
Weaknesses
Limitation, Time and Effort: The number of the rings Zenchiku can use is dependant entirely on his own Spiritual Pressure, which will naturally grow with his ability. The power of each ring is unlocked for every 30 points of Reaitsu he has, meaning he will need a total of 300 before he can use all ten of the rings. Once Zenchiku uses up his alloted number of rings, the Shikai can grant him no additional power and he will likely be exhausted. Without being able to use the full potential of his Shikai, his Bankai will be forever out of reach.
Power Drain: Because the power released from the rings comes from his inner reserves, they have to be replenished before he can use them again. If Zenchiku uses all of his available rings, then he must wait until one of them has been restored before he can even call on his Shikai - otherwise it remains sealed. Each ring is replenished over the time of one in-game day when the character is using them in a thread that isn't meant for training, otherwise they replenish one for every real-world day that passes.
No Ranged Attacks: Despite being a Kidou based zanpakuto, Ikkatsu lacks anything resembling distance attacks, forcing Zenchiku to rely completely on close combat.
