Personality
Yamazaki Hirohana is a childish Shinigami in every way. Why? For one, he is really just ten years old. Two, being a part of one of Sereitei’s noble clans, and being an only child, people find it hard not to spoil him and treat him like a child. And having Yamazaki Shino as his uncle doesn’t really help things. He only serves to spoil Yamazaki even more.
Another trait of the Yamazaki brat is that, like his uncle, he is also prone to hugging people. A very affectionate child that is very transparent when it comes to his emotions, showing people and telling them exactly how he feels. There is no place for faking emotions for this kid, and as such, he always tells the truth, no matter what the situations or consequences may be, and as such, sometimes gets him into trouble.
Hirohana, as a child, is still innocent and as such, still has not ideas of how to battle or why there is a need to battle. He would often just charge in without thinking much and as such, gives those around him headaches in attempts to save his life. And as such, people around are, more often than not, inclined to watch over him and save him many, many times. Heck, he even endangers himself even without the help of hollows or traitorous Shinigamis, what more if there were enemies?
The last but not the least, he will always smile a happy and innocent smile.
History
Yamazaki Hirohana was born to Yamazaki Hiroshi, Yamazaki Shino’s brother, and Inami Hanako, was born directly under the control of the Yamazaki Main Family. The branch families all came to bow down before him, although he was almost never born. The Yamazakis did not relish the idea of Hiroshi marrying someone of common decent. Hiroshi fought valiantly but almost failed, if it weren’t for his brother’s help. Shino told the Elder Yamazakis what Hiroshi dared not. Inami Hanako’s pregnancy. It would cause the clan utter shame if word leaks out that a Yamazaki has a child with an unmarried commoner and so they decided to choose to let their child bear the Yamazaki name. That is, under one condition. Inami Hanako will let the public know that she took advantage of Hiroshi during one of the social gatherings and live her life alone in Rukongai after the child was born.
Hiroshi did not like this one bit but Hanako came to him one day. Caressing his cheek, Hanako begged him to bear with it. It was okay with Hanako and it would hurt her more to see Hiroshi be stripped of the almighty Yamazaki name. Much to Hiroshi’s dislike, he nodded and went on with it. And so, the marriage went on. It was a rather festive occasion, lots of people were there and there were heaps of luxurious foods to be seen. The decorations were grand and at the grand climax, a podium made of solid ivory had been erected, were Inami Hanako made her speech on telling everyone how she took advantage of Hiroshi and intentionally got herself pregnant so that she could hook up a noble and get out of her commoner status. Hiroshi summoned all his willpower not to say anything. She also promised to let Hiroshi go after she gives birth and she will live in Rukongai alone.
Few years went by, Hirohana, the name given to him as a tribute to his mother and fathers love for each other, was already 4 years old and was playing in the backyard. He saw children walking past with their mother, father, brother and a sister, hand in hand. He then looked at his father, who turned away. He did not know what to say to his son. Hiro-chan, as most people called him, made his father face him and he smiled. In his sweet tone, he said…..
“Touchan, we are a happy family right? You and me. I know that kaachan is watching over me from somewhere. She is my mother so I do not think she does not love me right? Everybody’s mother seems to be that way.”
The child said. His father chuckled to himself. He was being comforted by his own son. How ironic. Without a thought, he hugged Hirohana, tears welling up. He looked up above and closed his eyes, trying not to show weakness to his son. Somehow, he knew that Hirohana knew he was sad.
“Touchan, it’s gonna be alright. I don’t know much but I do know that touchan is a good person and I love touchan very much. Yeah, I love touchan very much. Hmm.” He said with such fervor, ending it with a determined nod. Hiroshi then knew that his child was right. He should be acting his age and not like a ten year old. Heck, his four year old child was comforting him. He must be happy for the sake of Hirohana. Hirohana’s next statements made Hiroshi smile.
“So when will Shino-ojiichan come over? I want to see him.” And Hiro-chan followed the statement with lots of questions about Kidō and zanpakutōs and everything he saw in his uncle. Hiroshi then knew what his son wanted to be.
“Hiro-chan will be a fine Shinigami. I will enter you into the shinigami academy when you get older Hiro-chan. Then you will be taught all those things.”
Hirohana’s face lit up. He hugged his father in gratitude and went off to tell everyone about it. Few years passed and Hirohana entered the academy. Although he wasn’t on top of the class, he wasn’t at the bottom either. He was one of those people who were in the upper middle portion of the class. But he works hard for his position. He started training harder and harder and such, hampered his growth. He graduated smallest and youngest in his class. But he was much liked and was the baby of the class.
After his graduation, he found it hard to decide which division he would like to enter. His classmates told him he should either go to the first division or the third division. Others told him the fifth was the best for him but he did not want to earn ranks because his uncle was the captain of the squad, and so he told them outright that he did not want to become a shinigami of squads where there are Yamazaki’s ruling over them. In the end, his father suggested the sixth squad for there were no Yamazakis there and that his uncle’s squad would just be next and would be easy to visit. Hiro nodded and entered the sixth. Now, all he had to do was prove his worth as a four foot nine inches tall, ten year old shinigami.
Combat
Strengths
Agility: he is naturally fast due to his height and light weight. Also, he is also a good dodger, being that there is so little of him to target at, as well as he also attacks fast.
Reiatsu Reserves: He has a whole lot of it. A really huge amount of reiatsu stored within him that he will last a lot longer than most his level, given that his enemy does not kill him off too quickly.
Weaknesses
Defense: due to his light frame, he is easily tossed around and is easily damaged. Injuries dealt to him takes a while longer to be healed than those his level.
Strength: he is not that strong, again, due to his light frame and small stature. The damage he deals physically is significantly lower than those around him. This he tries to make up for in speed.
