Halcyon

Halcyon is Desmond Green's fullbring.

Though the fullbring is known as Halcyon, the name for its current state is Hyperion.

Desmond's right arm becomes covered by a white 'second skin', which is decorated by black lines along it's length, encasing a turquoise hexagon on the forearm. The lines split at the wrist to flow onto and cover each finger. At the shoulder, the state extends outwards, curling downwards into circles and imitating somewhat clouds in old Chinese art.

Fullbring Abilities

Hyperion has the ability to stop the reiatsu (and reishi) flow in a one-hundred foot radius of Desmond. This blocks all spiritual senses both within the fields, but also clouds everything in the hundred-foot radius from senses.

Because the spirit energy is held in stasis, it cannot be drawn in or pumped out in order to power abilities. This means that zanpakutō abilities, kidō, Quincy bows, fullbrings, hollow crezca and all skills which gain a boost from reiatsu cannot be used. Physical techniques, movements and skills can still be used, however.

Desmond has limited control over the flow of reiatsu within his sphere of influence. Able to compress the ambient energies together to form solid walls which can be used for either defence or offence. These walls can be chipped away and broken by numerous strikes, and their weight can press down upon opponents like a much higher spirit pressure than their own would. This can crush weaker opponents (i.e. NPC hollows) to death.

At the cost of reducing the range of his ability by half (50 feet), Desmond can utter the command "observe the heavens". This compresses the field of reiatsu stasis to just 5 feet around him, but still control the flow of reiatsu and project the defensive barriers in the full 50 foot radius.

Strengths

Master of his surroundings Desmond gains a large degree of control over the area surrounding him, protecting himself from most forms of supernatural assault either through negation of abilities or creation of barriers.

Void as a weapon With the barriers being fully solid, Desmond can use them as weapons. Able to crush weaker (NPC) opponents to death, and act as bludgeoning weapons for others, it gives Desmond some ability to fight those weapons that his state cannot block, though the barriers are still simply 'walls' of solid reiatsu.

Weaknesses

Mortal With all the abilities that Halcyon bestows upon Desmond, he is still mortal, and in addition to that, over forty years old. A concentrated attack using physical weapons rather than relying on special abilities could still cut him down, and even kill him.

Only two Desmond can only create two barriers, and even then he can only react as quickly as he would with a shield in each hand. Surprise attacks, long ranged physical blows such as from a gun or bow and quick movements are still able to get around the shields.

Peripheral attacks Desmond's state may block out all reatsu based attacks, but that occurs only in the dome-shaped field of its effect. A canny opponent would use their environment to their advantage, using their energy-based attacks to cause physical damage from falling rubble etc.
