Futsu-Nushi is Gennosuke Koga's Zanpakutō.
Unreleased, Futsu-Nushi is a plain sword, with a perfectly straight blade and no crossguard. The sheath and hilt are of lacquered black, with golden patterns inlaid upon the surface.

Spirit Description
Futsu-Nushi is a humanoid dragon with huge fins and sails coming from the backs of his arms and his head. From his back come 6 long tendrils, ending in an electrified bauble.
Shikai
Release Command: Blaze, Futsu-Nushi!
When released, Futsu-Nushi transforms from a straight and guardless katana into something resembling a more oriental blade, with a crossguard constructed from silver dragons and two blood-red wings surrounding it. The blade turns from a silvery hue to blood red.
Shikai Abilities
Lightning Cloak
It allows Koga to form a cloak around him self. The cloak can expand to form a barrier about 20 ft with discharges like a plasma globe, so as soon as an opponent gets near he/she will be like a finger to it. It can also shrink to an outline of Kogas body, which allows him to move while he is in it. Koga is also able to reinforce the barrier with energy also, so that no one can get in.
Call of Lightning
Allows him to call down lightning, also create it. It can strike any where he wants it to strike, also allows him to shoot lightning from his sword to strike his opponent, either with a lash or just pointing his sword at the person.He can also change the lightning to any form he wants.He is capable of forming lightning around the sword as well to increase his strike speed.
Lightning Warp
Koga sends a hole at his opponent from his palm that ensnares them and shocks them.Koga can also go into the warp to turn him self into lightning and warp to another location. He is able to control its movements fully. He can also turn it into a ball and send it into the air to cause it to form thunder clouds.
Strengths
- Lightning Cloak – He is unable to be touched when reinforced with reiatsu.
- Call of Lightning – Hits opponent with deadly accuracy and it is a large source of energy, so if Koga gets hit directly with it he gains energy to charge an attack.
- Lightning Warp – This attack follows the opponent any where he goes as long as long as Koga can sense your reiatsu. It also can expand for bigger opponents.
Weaknesses
- Lightning Cloak – given that it’s a cloak and a barrier it drains immense energy each use and can cause a fall in speed after use. The barrier can take but so much hits before it breaks.
- Call of Lightning – unlike his other attacks, to make the lightning strike his opponent by calling it down he must have pure focus and accuracy. Takes a lot of focus to pinpoint opponent, so if his opponent is moving its very hard to hit them
- Lightning Warp – this move requires a lot of focus for Koga to use it. Given that he is able to control the speed of it takes more energy for it to move fast enough to keep up with the opponent can only shock for a few moments when enemy is ensnared.
