Appearance
The Tercera Espada stands at a height of five feet and eight inches, with snow white hair crowning her head. Straight and slightly wispy in texture, it falls to the length of her waist level. She has it usually tied into a pony tail, which falls over a shoulder, or stays behind her. Locks of hair fall unhindered over her forehead, concealing her left eye, and her ears are also hidden from view. The remains of her mask take the form of four ear piercings on each ear, and thus, are not usually visible. Her eyes, which are emerald green and piercing although occasionally having a slightly sedated look to them, are set beneath slightly arched eyebrows. Her build is slender and slightly curvaceous.
Over time, she has adapted her outfit to fit her taste and fighting style. She wears a top whose sleeves end halfway the length of her lower arms, and is cut short to expose her mid riff. Instead of hakamas, she wears pants and boots, as opposed to the sandals most Arrancar wear. Over her shoulders, she drapes a long neck scarf, which covers her hollow hole (set between her collar bones), and the lower parts of her face, occasionally. The tattoo of her rank now is positioned on the left side of her face, on her cheek.
Her zanpakutō takes the form of an ornate slightly curved longsword, which has a gem in its pommel and a ring, large enough for her to slip her hand through. She wears it on a sword belt which is on her left hip.
Personality
Avienne is a quiet, docile individual, a lover of peace as opposed to what she was before her 'awakening'. More often found listening than speaking, she is a very logical person, always seeking to have, or find a reason for doing anything. According to her, fighting, or killing is fruitless, unless the person killed is an obstacle that must be eliminated for progress to occur. She dislikes fighting, only drawing her blade against recalcitrant enemies, or when she is defending one of her Arrancar/Hollow allies. Once an enemy is incapacitated, or flees, she leaves them be.
Avienne still maintains an avid interest in the world of medicine. She has some vast medical knowledge, especially on anatomy and regeneration, but seeks to expand her frontiers of information. She is interested in patching things, and people up, if the need arises. Avienne's polite nature compliments her peaceful attitude, respecting her superiors to an extent (she usually disobeys in the case of battle) and being protective of her subordinates.
She has the habit of attempting to heal her defeated enemies who are still alive, as she feels that no one deserves death.
History
Originally christened Annabel Milan, she was Italian by descent, born into a rich home. She visited many places, because her parents traveled about a lot, and her constant shifting caused her not to have too many friends. This made Annabel a detached child who valued bonds of friendship, but it's always what we don't have that we wish for the most.
Her life was not very eventful, aside all the journeying, and in due time, as she got older, Annabel found herself fascinated by the world of medicine. She made up her mind that she would become a doctor. And thus, she began to strive for it. With money on one side and her intelligence on the other, it was not difficult at all to find the steps on which to tread. But life always has surprises, doesn't it?
She became a certified doctor at the age of twenty, a few weeks after her birthday, but only a few months after, events occurred that led to her demise. There was a fire in the hospital, started by a psychopath arsonist. The fire spread rapidly, taking those in the building by surprise, so that most escape routes had been cut off by the time everyone was aware. It was at this point that an explosion caused part of a wall, plus other debris to collapse on a few trapped persons, Annabel included. They were smothered by the smoke and they died.
She couldn't say what happened to these people, but her frustration at having her life cut short when her dream was being fulfilled, was not good for her chain of destiny. The corrosion began swiftly, and soon, she forgot all memories of being human, taking on the appearance of a monster...
After some time of scavenging in the white deserts of Las Dias, she was found by Peligroso, and later sought him out in his chambers to find strength. There, she met with Ortiga also; both Arrancar seeking to recreate the fallen city of Las Noches. After a hunt in the Mortal Coil, she was ready to take a step further and rise to the level of Arrancar.
In time, Avienne would play a role in the development of Las Noches, along with the other two Arrancar, who became the Primera and Segundo Espadas; Ortiga being the first, and Peligroso being the second. Avienne was given the rank of Tercera Espada, and has created a hidden medical lab, deep beneath the grounds of Las Noches.
