Appearance

Evianna, having picked up a number of strange habits during her time as a plus, carries them over into her appearance as an Arrancar. She appears young for her age, seeming more like a teenager than an adult. Her crimson hair comes down to chin length, and is straight and pristine. It, along with her full, red lips contrast with her snow-like complexion. Evie's eyes are a beautiful ruby red; they depict a fiery, fun-loving spirit. Her Hollow mask fragment is in the form of a bone necklace; the majority of which is made up of sharp teeth, the centerpiece being the finger-length beak of her former mask. She stands at 155 cm (5'1") and weighs 42 kg (92 lbs.), with a thin waist, curvaceous hips, and a petite bust. Her Hollow hole is positioned in the center of her stomach. Being unalligned, her clothing does not follow any particular dress code. Often, she wears nothing at all.

Personality

Evie's background is a diamond in the rough in the way of most Hollows. Having lead a life of mostly happiness, even into death, she never developed a lot of the innate hostility that would shine through in most of her kind. Consequently, she is one of the uncommon Arrancar that possesses little to no aggressive tendencies, and would not likely opt to any one side for the purposes of military. Evianna is very picky about what she eats; she would prefer to consume smaller animal Hollows before larger ones of human origin, though after her Shinigamification, she tries to eat solely normal food. Quick to jump to conclusions, she does not always think things through. She is very free-spirited, going so far as to forsake the necessity for clothing most of the time. She will cover up at the request of others, but only if provided something with which to do so; otherwise, she will not go out of her way for it. She enjoys entertaining children; it was a favorite activity of hers during life that carried over into death. Evie is very fun loving, preferring to make friends and play around with others much more to fighting, but if the time comes, she is prepared to draw her weapon. Her father figure greatly instilled within her an instinct for survival, and though she has long since forgotten the old man's name and face, she still remembers his words. Evianna has a strong heart, and will not so easily back down in the face of danger or hardship.

History

Evianna LeClair was born on the French countryside in a location she never learned the name of to a humble couple of self-sustaining farmers. The nearby village was so small that it was not on any map; the only significant feature of the land for miles was that it was surrounded almost entirely by mountains, untouched and forgotten by modern society.

She was a sweet child. The tragedy that befell her and her family was the work of a cold-blooded demon. One day, as the three were traveling to the small village, a pack of wolves had been scouring the outskirts for food. The starved, wretched beasts were all too eager to chase down Evianna's mother and father. The mother, in a last ditch effort to spare her baby from the maws of the wild, managed to hide the girl under a bush of brambles. The cover was rudimentary at best, and slightly dangerous for the child, but miraculously, it prevented the wolves from getting to her long enough for the local villagers armed with guns to arrive. The wolves were sent running in retreat, but not before Evianna's parents met with a tragic demise.

The young girl was taken in the by the village head; he was an old man who had long since lost his own family to the wilderness. Their picture frames decorated the mantle. Jacques Cousteau was his name, as he would later teach the girl when she grew old enough to remember it. Jacques raised her like he did his own departed son, with all the love in his heart. Evianna grew up never being told what happened to her parents, but she figured it out all the same. She never blamed Jacques for not telling her the truth; she would rather have not known in the end.

Time passed, and while she hoped their time together would not end, Jacques began to grow far too old for his body to hold up. The man passed away in the summer of her sixteenth year. Evianna realized for the first time what it felt like to lose a loved one; not even when she learned the truth about her parents had she felt such sadness. But Jacques had been a loving father to her, and in honor of his last words, she promised him that she would be strong and take good care of herself. He had told her to survive.

True to her words, Evianna blossomed into a very strong hearted young woman. She took up residence in the old village head's house and was valued as the jewel of the town. She worked hard, always helping out where she saw fit and keeping the young children of the village entertained. She remembered the day the secret came out.

Evianna ventured into a quiet section of the village one day; the place had never drawn her attention before. It was a dead end, nothing special. But the girl noticed something off about the earth there. There was a rope embedded into the soil. She gave it a tug, and uncovered more of what was there. Some sort of trap door? She pulled with all her might, until the panel gave, opening to a dark stairway strung with electric lights. Descending into the passage, Evianna could feel a chill go up her back. What was this place? As she approached an opening, she could feel something rise in her throat. The place smelled of blood, thick and heavy. There was an altar of some kind, that much was apparent. Surrounded by unlit candles, it was covered in dried blood. What in the hell had taken place here? Suddenly, realization dawned on her. The villagers, in all of their humbleness, had a reason for staying locked up between the mountains. They did not want to be found.

Evianna burst out of the passageway into the alley above. Night had fallen, and thankfully, nobody had noticed her adventure. The girl could simply not believe that anyone in the village was involved in such a practice. She remembered Jacques' words. Survive. Could this be what he was referring to? Evianna raced off into the woods, not even looking back. She could not stay here any longer. Though she had never ventured outside the village, she was not about to become a casualty within its bounds. She never even saw pack of wolves coming.

She felt like an idiot. Evianna had come to on the outskirts of the village. She did not know how long she had been out for, but thankfully, she didn't feel any worse for wear. She had wandered back into the village, only to find the whole town in a commotion. Having followed the source of it, she came upon the open passageway, in which it turned out various villagers were investigating. The previous night's events came rushing back, and the girl suddenly felt very uncomfortable standing there in the open. That was until she overheard what they were talking about. "What is this place?" They questioned. "How the hell did we overlook something like this?" Soon after, Evianna had pieced together that this was not the cultist village she thought it was. Rather, it was the home of a centuries old village that had long since abandoned its pagan practices.

She had gone and died for nothing. That much was evident when she finally noticed the chain dangling from her bosom. That and she had found asking around had yielded no results; not a one of them could see or hear her. Not long into the day, they began to mourn her passing. They must have found the wolves.

Evianna wandered the village for the next few months. She was not an earth-bound spirit, but the thought never occurred to her to go anywhere else. Day by day, she began picking up habits that fell into her natural way of like from then on. Her invisibility in a lively town washed away her sense of modesty; she began to wear less and less of the cloths she had perished in. Eventually, only her undergarments remained. She began to refer to herself as "Evie," introducing herself jokingly to the people who could make no contact with her. One day she had even wandered back into her old home, no longer occupied by anyone to preserve their memory, and used a pair of scissors to cut her hair short.

Before long, she noticed that, to some extent, the village children could sense her presence. It was a far cry from being able to directly see her, but somehow, they recognized her deep down. She was like the wind to them; Evie would dance and play with them, only making fleeting contact, enough to let them know that in some form or another, she was still there. The kids felt secure under the ethereal embrace of their departed playmate.

It was perhaps the combination of all of these factors, that lead to her significantly tame Hollowfication. All pluses underwent the process of encroachment. There were no exceptions for as long as they remained in the world of the living. Shinigami would rarely visit their humble little valley, so it was highly likely that one would become a Hollow there. The same fate befell Evianna one day. Her Chain of Fate had eroded to the last few links, and though the final encroachment was as painful as it should have been, the girl stood her ground. Her body dispersed, reforming in the sky above, donning the appearance of a large, elegant bird. Having no longer felt it was he place to remain in the world of the living, she descended into Hueco Mundo.

The girl was relatively safe in the skies, it seemed. Not many of her kind took to the air; the ones that did had a tendency to be weak. Though she had felt the initial pangs of hunger in the human world, Evianna had left before she could make any of her loved ones victims. At first, she sustained herself on the atmosphere of Las Dias. The thick reishi nourished her long enough for her to get used to the idea that, in order to go on surviving, as the man who had become a foggy memory had once said, she would have to consume other souls. She decided to start small and work her way up. At first, Evie only consumed the smallest Hollows; these variety were likely the departed spirits of real world fauna. Though eventually she would be forced to devour the Hollows born from actual humans, Evianna tried to not think to hard about the implications of that.

From her desire to become more human again, and cease her need to continually feast on others, Evie's avian mask broke at the seams one day. Only the beak and some decorative teeth remained, falling around her neck like an exotic accessory. She stood up, once again humanoid. Though she lacked anything that could be called clothing, as a remnant of her earthly habits, she did not really mind. The girl began to wander the sands of Las Dias, a new life ahead of her.

Combat

Strengths

Magnetic Personality - Evianna often does her best to get along with anyone she meets. She tends to make more friends than enemies.

Survive - Jacques words ring strongly in Evie's mind. She will go to whatever lengths necessary to go on living at nearly any cost. Though she refuses to readily forsake her allies for her own longevity, she tries her hardest to take any measure to go on living.

Weaknesses

A Little Too Open - Evie just plain does not wear clothes most of the time. Depending on who she runs into, this could produce a variety of different reactions. In addition to this, she is willing to try and make friends with just about anyone, even Shinigami.

Easily Distracted - Evianna is not always able to focus on the task at hand. Whenever something more interesting comes along, she would likely pursue that in lieu of anything she was preoccupied with.
