Appearance
Typically, Eve has her hair cut to just above her shoulders, with the longest part at the back being tied up in some intricate pattern her mother decided on. The thick blond locks along with her sharp, crystal blue eyes look somewhat out of place in her family of brunettes. She has a rather lean and athletic build’ the result of having lived and played for most of her life in a small town with a handful of boys and ample supply of sports to partake in. While she had once nearly exclusively worn clothing suited to her life style back in England, since her recent transition to Japan she’s had to get used to a somewhat varied wardrobe that she has come to dislike more and more as time progressed.
One of her new outfits she’s come to know as her ‘high school’ uniform from her mother, though it seemed pointless to her to put her in a Japanese speaking school at all. It consists of a plain, white long-sleeve shirt with brass buttons to do up the cuffs and shirt; with a blue ribbon tied about her neck of the collar in a somewhat neat bow. A mid-length blue wrap around skirt, white knee length socks and blue pumps finish the outfit; the skirt being long enough to just surpass her knees. It was a bit of an odd outfit to her considering the impracticality of it as well as the colour scheme, but if that’s what they had to wear in high school then she figured she’d just have to get used to it.
She still owns at least one of her old outfits though; her football gear from back in England, as she refused to part with one of the few things she had that she could take along with her. The football uniform consists of a white and blue combination shirt; with blue on the front and back with white strips dividing them apart and red lines dividing the white from the blue. Her shorts are coloured in a similar fashion; though with a white front and back with blue lines dividing them instead. Her socks and trainers have similar colour schemes, with the white socks having a band of blue and red near the top and the blue trainers having some white areas and red shoelaces.
She also wears some accessories with either outfit depending on her preference that day; a pair of blue wrist bands with a red stripe and a blue ribbon tied in the back of her hair. She doesn’t really differentiate that much between the two; so despite her new dress code at school she does sometimes wear the wrist bands, and like wise with the ribbon during sports despite how unnecessary it is.
Personality
Though it’s been nearly a year since some of the strangest occurrences of her life began to happen; Eve has changed little despite these happenings. Kind hearted, caring and completely unafraid to speak her mind on any subject despite extraneous circumstances; her ‘brash’ streak from the latter has been tampered somewhat by her most recent experiences with the other side and the most recent events of her life. While she still doesn’t completely understand the goings on as of recent, her resolve to continue with her life come what may has not been weakened at all. In fact, her resolve to continue has perhaps been forged stronger then ever before, making her an even more courageous figure then she‘d once been.
This combination of factors and her chief interests have branded her as a tom-boy to an extreme; resulting from the time she spent back in her birth town with a handful of boys and a variety of sports to take part in. Because of her lack of interaction with other girls her own age through the years; her interest in what is usually associated with the fairer gender is nearly nil. This has coloured her way of dealing and understanding people in generally; with her approach being more ‘direct’ and hands-on then usual. Eve is extremely loyal to the people she finds herself close to; and headstrong because of her raising to the point that despite the difficulty she’s going through at this time, she is still willing to forge ahead to be all she can be while she can be.
History
The life and days of Eve Vallerie Hardy started as any other persons lives ever did; though not always at in the same places or the same situations. The place where she was first introduced to the world was the East side of London; around mid-afternoon in a council owned house. She was born to the Hardy family; consisting of a happily wed couple called Alec and Eve; and a 3 year old son named Adam who was named after there more recently deceased grandfather. The newly born girl took the names of both her mother and grandmother as her own; hence on being known as Eve Vallerie Hardy - though simply Eve to friends and family.
She was a healthy enough baby; being born of average weight and size for a baby and having no physical or mental defects that the Doctors could detect. She went through her years as a toddler very much the same as any other baby her age did from then on; crying, eating, sleeping, learning to walk and all the other sorts of things babies did. When she'd gotten old enough to go into the schooling system however, Eve showed herself as being far different to usual female children. The term she would have received for how she acted was Tom Boy, though it was seen that she'd taken that definition and gone a few steps further.
This was most obvious when she'd come across the sport of football; known as Soccer to Americans and some other parts of the world; and proved that truly competitive play wasn't just a boys thing. It was in this period that she'd found what she wanted to do for the rest of her life. Well, as far forward into her life as she'd look anyway. And so she continued the next few years of her life; playing football, advancing through the school system. making friends and enemies of other people who played football frequently. By 16 she'd been through the primary and secondary school systems; and having just been accepted into college has started the newest page of her life; with the beginning of this page starting at her acceptance into the college’s soccer team.
While at this age she wasn't taken all that seriously by most male soccer players, she was able to prove her worth easily enough through her sheer adeptness at the sport and the strength and accuracy she was able to put into every pass and shot. Having been set to the main striking position because of these facts; and getting through college with acceptable grades, Eve felt that her life was truly set from this point on. At least, that was what she'd hoped for until the Championship game. Having been drawing for the majority of the time playing, the game had come down to one last attempt by both teams to bypass the other with the ball.
This had been one of the few games that Eve had ever played that felt as if it could easily go either way; if only because of the sheer ferocity and concentration that both teams put into this one game to decide it all. And in the end, the whole of her team had left the fate of the game in her hands with a single pass. From that point, all of her intent was on finishing this game; with minor injuries if possible. She succeeded pretty well in this task, going over slide tackles and spinning around head on defenders. She didn't have enough time to get into a good position to shoot though; it was either finish or go into penalties. She took her shot...
And the feeling of a small explosion being focused on her leg was all that she really noticed after that. Soon after the feeling had taken hold of her mind, she'd blanked out and collapsed onto the pitch where she'd been stood. The effects of the kick she'd never be able to remember where phenomenal; the ball had rocketed forward almost immediately and, seemingly unluckily, hit the far right corner of the goal post. Unlike the normal however, the goalpost bent backwards with the ball until it was fairly obvious that a round object had hit the bars in the corner; before dropping in behind the goal line. The goalie hadn't even stood a chance, as far as getting to the ball and stopping it was concerned.
Eve was taken off the pitch as the 'hero' of her team; and straight to hospital in her still unconscious state to try and find out what had happened. Shortly after, she'd been diagnosed with a lung defect known as Pulmonary Hypertension. Though the extent of the defect was somewhat dependant on the case; medicines of the time had advanced far along enough for it to be a minor issue to how long she’d life - how long she was able to play football on the other hand… A few weeks after the incident and she'd woken up again and was already walking and practising what she loved most in her life.
She'd be forced to remember her pending fate now that she had woken again; the pain that she hadn't experienced when she'd blacked out now weighing heavily on her chest. A constant reminder that she was going to die sooner then she‘d hoped; whether she wanted to or not. Despite everything else that had happened those few weeks ago; there was still one thing she hadn’t quite understood. In those few seconds before she’d taken the shot and blacked out completely during the championship game; who was the black robed figure who’d just appeared out of no where next to the oppositions goal post?
She wouldn’t get to consider this for too long though; as it was only a few months later when they moved away from their home in London and onto Japan. Her father has just picked up a new job that had required him to be near or in Tokyo whenever they needed him; which of course had meant that they’d had to go along with him. This of course was a pretty big problem for Eve; considering the fact she couldn’t speak any Japanese for the life of her wouldn’t be much help.
Combat
Strengths
Lower Body Strength: Though still within the realm of human possibility; Eve’s lower body strength from sports and Tae Kwon Do is phenomenal compared to most people her age.
Agility/Reflexes: Honed to a point over the span of her life time; though she is limited by her humanity she is a fair bit faster to reacting to a situation as it presents itself then most humans are.
Weaknesses
Upper Body Strength: Though not particularly ‘weak’ in normal human terms; compared to most sportsman and martial art practitioners she is pretty meek when it comes to her upper body strength.
Pulmonary Hypertension: Having once been an under-lying disease she suffered; the advent of her Soul Form has made it more pronounced in recent years. It doesn’t do much to hinder her in day to day life because of the medical technologies of today; though it has a habit of acting up violently when she expends the majority of her Reiatsu. Common symptoms are shortness of breath, fatigue, non-productive coughing, angina pectoris, fainting or syncope, and rarely haemoptysis (coughing up blood.)
