Personality
Dmitri is the typical humble, witty, charismatic, wealthy playboy in the prime of his life. That is only the facade he gives off for social gatherings and public appearances. In reality, he's just as ruthless as a shark in the ocean. He'll do what he has to do to get what he wants. He sees life as a game of strategy and people and places as business ventures. He sees beings (both shinigami and hollows) as dangerous threats to the world and feels that he must be the one to protect the humans from them, even if it cost the life of one or two humans to do so....
History
Dmitri was born in Germany to a Japanese woman and a Russian father. His father, being one of the world's richest businessmen. His father was very strict when it came to Dmitri's advancement in education. In other words, he saw Dmitri as a business investment that was also an X-factor because of his mother's nurturing. While Dmitri's father wanted him to take over his business, Dmitri's mother wanted him to have compassion and live an easy life. It wasn't to say that the two did not love each other. They could each other's viewpoints and realized that they only wanted the best for Dmitri.
Being the billionaire that he was, Dmitri's father paid for the best to educate Dmitri in every field of education and language. By the time Dmitri turned eight, he was already speaking four languages, had over ten million in the bank from his allowances and could read on an eighth grade level. Although he was a genius, it didn't satisfy Dmitri's pleasures. From time to time, Dmitri's mother would take him on trips around the world, so he wouldn't be too stressed out with the work that his father always put in front of him. On one of their trips, they went to visit Dmitri's grandfather in Japan who was also a Shinto priest. Meeting his grandson for the first time, Dmitri's grandfather spent as much time as he could with Dmitri, even showing him what he did on a daily basis. It all started on a Saturday. Helping his grandfather with one of his rituals, he saw the spirit of a thirty five year old woman who couldn't pass on because she lost her way. Dmitri's grandfather was surprised that he could see ghosts at such an early age. He asked Dmitri if he could always see "those kinds of people". Dmitri said no, but he just started to see her then and there. Dmitri's grandfather wondered if the location they was in made Dmitri see spirits for the first time. That temple was full of wandering spirits that wanted to find their way to the afterlife. Dmitri staying there for the entire time he was in Japan, his spirit sensing abilities must've skyrocketed. He gave Dmitri a bangle with a dark circle in the center as a gift before they left.
Returning back home, Dmitri's father wasn't the same. He became less social and angrier, sometimes taking out his aggression towards him and his mother. One day, Dmitri stumbled onto one of his father's private meetings, where for the first time he saw what kind of person he was. His father created weapons for the highest bidder. Dmitri knew what kind of person his father was from that day forward. Dmitri's father knew that his son was watching from afar and set everything up so that he would see the cruel truth about him and prepare him for what he was destined to do. Dmitri's father encountered Dmitri the next day, telling him everything about himself. He told Dmitri that he was going to inevitably inherit his fortune and his business. He wanted him to be prepared for anything that could come through "the other side of the door" as he called it. Dmitri just needed the key to open that door. Dmitri rejected his father's words, but the next words changed him forever. Dmitri's father told him that his mother left, abandoning Dmitri because she couldn't love him. In reality, she was killed by an assassin paid off by Dmitri's father to get rid of the one weakness his son had. From then, until his 19th birthday, Dmitri's soul became more corrupt and deceiving. He was truly following in his father's footsteps, starting to build his own little business to start himself off.
Dmitri eventually stumbled across the files of his mother assassination. Now knowing that his father actually killed her, he plotted revenge. He sat down in his dining hall with his father to discuss future plans over a cup of tea. Dmitri revealed his knowledge of his mother's assassination to his father. His father already knew about Dmitri finding those files and his hiring of an assassin to kill him. he told Dmitri that he already prepared for it and had the assassin taken care of. Dmitri revealed to him that the person he met up with wasn't hired to assassinate him, but to hire several others to act as decoys so he could be all alone with his father. He revealed that the cup his father used was dipped in a special drug that stops the person's heart once taken. It would eventually turn into water after a period of time. In other words, it would give Dmitri's father a heart attack without having any traceable items within his body. Dmitri's father gasped as he grabbed his chest and fell to the floor. Dmitri attended his father's funeral, but did not inherit his father's business, instead going to his father's shareholders. By the time he turned 22, he officially became a multi-millionaire using his insights to invest his money in well established companies. Dmitri no longer needed to rely on his father's fortune. Although he had everything that most people only dreamed of, he wasn't satisfied with what he had. He wanted more than fame and fortune. There was nothing in this world that couldn't control if he put his soul into it. But, there were other worlds, the world of the spirits that passed on from this plane onto the next. For the next five years, Dmitri spent his time researching myths and legends from all over the world. Dmitri however, couldn't settle with waiting for them to come to fight. He wanted to bring the fight to both the shinigami and hollows. He couldn't help but notice the secret world that couldn't be seen by normal eyes. he witnessed battles between Hollows and Shinigami, seeing them as a danger to the world. They would cause destruction wherever they roamed and somehow erase the memories of those that might've seen them or alter their memories to believe something else happened. At first, he thought spirits were innocent and couldn't find their way to the afterlife, but he saw them for what they really were. In his eyes, he saw this as a war between the living saw this as a war between life and the afterlife. From now on, he devoted his life to stopping and controlling the threat of the afterlife onto the world of the living..... in his own way.
One night, Dmitri would encounter a hollow that drove him to bring out his fullbring for the first time. His right arm was completely covered in a white and blue medieval-like armor. Not knowing what it was, but do knowing that it could give him a chance against the creature attempting to kill him, Dmitri would rush forward, with a spear appearing in that very arm, which impaled the hollow with ease. Once the hollow was defeated, Dmitri would fall to his knees in exhaustion, knowing that these spirits, whether they were monsterous and wore masks or appeared human with black robes, now had something that could possibly stop them in their tracks.
Dmitri would further test this new power, which he now called Seele Ritter or Soul Knight eventually finding out that it possessed three different forms, each with its own weapon, but it was after the events at the Inari Shrine where he realized that this power was not enough to achieve what he wanted nor was he the only human in Okumichi City that possessed spiritual powers. Dmitri would take it upon himself to find out who these humans were and attempt to gather them together, which eventually led him to Green's Bookstore, where he would meet Desmond Green, owner of the bookstore and Seer. Dmitri would meet the other high-spec humans that usually gathered in the bookstore to discuss their powers and origin.
Time would pass and Dmitri would increase his control over his fullbring, but it was still not enough to compare to the power of the Hollows or Shinigami, and he knew that the humans did not share the same exact viewpoint about these spirits as he did, so Dmitri would travel throughout Asia in search of a way to develop his powers even further. From the mountains of Mt. Hiei to Thailand and China, Dmitri would travel with the sole purpose of finding a way to fight on an even ground with the shinigami and hollows, when led to him developing not only a different, more powerful set of armor around his arms, but all over his body, his Advanced Seele Ritter. A major jump from his previous abilities, Dmitri now possessed the power to form practically anything from his own energy as long as he could imagine its length, height, and width. He was closer to their level, but Dmitri felt that he was still much weaker, but alas, he was neglecting his duties as the head of a major business organization and therefore, returned back to Okumichi.
His return to Okumichi and Kengo Corp, the name of his company, brought out secret agents who were after high-spec humans, including Dmitri for unknown purposes. Desmond was abducted with no one having a clue as to who could've done such a thing or why, but for whatever reasons each high-spec human had for rescuing Desmond, they would unite to stop whoever it was. Going all around the city in search of clues, the only thing the group could find out was that Desmond didn't put up much of a fight and he was taken by car. However, there were no names or faces to really start searching.
Dmitri would return to Kengo Corp the next day, apparently having an arranged meeting with a woman, only calling herself April. Through their private conversation, Dmitri would find out that April was a part of a larger group of humans who deducted that Dmitri, Desmond, and the other special humans were involved in illegal activities, including terrorism, with pictures of the aftermath each one had with a hollow as proof. April would also shoot Dmitri before taking her leave. Lying on the floor and later, at a hospital, Dmitri would only think of how weak and careless he was, being easily shot by a mere human. Just then, Dmitri would encounter Jin Urashima, a resident doctor, Quincy, and hollow. Dmitri wanted to know how such a thing was possible and whether if it was possible for him to receive such abilities. Having his special fullbring powers as well as the powers of a hollow, despite what he felt about them, would definitely give him the power he needed to stand above and dominate them. Jin warned Dmitri of such a risk, but Dmitri did not care.
Jin would make Dmitri go through the process of hollowization by removing Dmitri's soul from its body and destroying his soul chain, forcing Dmitri to transform into a hollow, but attempting to control it and maintain his fullbring abilities. Dmitri would eventually gain control of the hollow within, now becoming a full-fledged Visored. Dmitri and the others would eventually find out that this group of humans temporarily located themselves within Kengo Corp, using the technology Dmitri helped to develop, against him. Their plan revealed, the leader of this group, Zwolf, would build a tower where they would use Desmond's power to negate the special abilities of other, and amplify it so that no one in the entire world would have special abilities. This operation would also take three months to deal with, which gave Dmitri the perfect time to not only develop his fullbring to the next stage, but tap deeper into his hollow abilities, now able to produce a full mask for a limited amount of time.
Dmitri and the others would eventually make their way towards the constructed Verne Tower, where they were housing Desmond, and take out anyone that stood in their way. After taking down Zwolf and his agency's operation of using Desmond as a worldwide power nullifier, Dmitri would discover that his personal assistant, Shizuka Natsume, also possessed fullbring abilities and would work with her to develop her abilities, as well as start his next operation of Project Re:Birth. Dmitri would tap into a power beyond that of his fullbring and visored state, which, over an extended use, has led to Dmitri being permanently changed, appearing more like himself when he invokes his hollow mask without having an actual mask on.
