Appearance
Dante looks his age, standing about five and a half feet with a skinny body. His metabolism is very high, and he often burns a lot of energy just throwing tantrums. His clothes vary widely in style but are often casual. His eyes are chestnut brown and his hair is a light grey, the color of ashes. Around his neck is a simple ruby pendant strung by a golden chain.
Personality
Ever since he was born, Dante has had a mysterious fixation with fire. Truly, the circumstances of his entry into the world had a lot to do with this. Ever since he could figure out how, it would not be uncommon to see him lighting something aflame, be it a scrap of paper, a stick, or even something more alarming. Perhaps his most dangerous attribute is Dante's volatile rage. He is prone to random and frequent episodes of extreme fury, often provoked from anything from the mundane to the dire. Typically, he will vent his frustrations by burning various things.
His passive attitude varies greatly, and much of his decisions are made on the fly. Dante has trouble making friends, but is not adverse to the concept. Ultimately, his all consuming rage wins out over every other aspect of his personality. The only person immune to his wrath is his mother back home.
Dante is fluent in both English and Japanese, and has returned to his hometown based purely on a chance desire to visit his birthplace and learn about his heritage.
History
Dante Murasaki was born to an American mother and a Japanese father in an Okumichi hospital. It would in all normal circumstances be a normal birth, but for a very strange reason, he only barely made it into the world.
Many months into her pregnancy, Dante's mother would make regular appointments to the hospital to keep track of the baby's progress. It was during these brief visits that an earthbound spirit would haunt her and the room she stayed in. He was an unfortunate soul, having died in the fire that burned the previous hospital to the ground. Even in his eternal misery he found something attracting in this woman kept returning to the hospital. Eventually the plus grew too weak in willpower to fight off his encroachment any longer, and he descended into a Hollow of great wrath.
His rage was all consuming, angry at the woman who dared make visits to HIS domain. When she next returned, Dante's mother nearly died from a sudden heat stroke. Luckily she survived, and after complaining of the hauntings she had felt, changed hospitals. Dante was born without issues. They later learned that the hospital they had transferred from burned down in a mysterious fire; in truth, it was consumed in the fury of the Hollow.
Dante grew up as a toddler in Japan, just long enough to pick up on the language. When his father grew ill, however, the family's life took a turn for the worse. He soon passed away and the wife brought her son back with her to America. Japan held too many terrible memories for her to remain any longer. So that her son would remember his father, Dante's mother gifted him with a pendant of his; an heirloom passed down the family line.
The boy was a curious child growing up. He had little interest in toys or the games kids played. Rather, he was always fascinated whenever he would see fire. This interest mutated into something nasty when he had his first outburst. Dante's entire school went up in flames that day. It only took a little spark. Oddly, nobody ever witnessed the kid starting that fire. He was in the middle of class at the time, and the blaze had seemingly originated from the playground.
Since that incident he had calmed a little bit. Rumors began to propagate that it was he who started the fire somehow, and they followed him unnoticed throughout the rest of his school life in America. The other students consciously avoided contact with him.
After that, lived a relatively normal, if isolated life up until his recent birthday, when on a whim, Dante decided to return to his birthplace. Convincing his mother to let him study abroad, Dante moved back to Japan.
Combat
Strengths
Unending Fire - Dante has an incredible amount of stamina for a human; he spends a great deal of time on his feet, rarely settling down except to sleep.
Weaknesses
All-Consuming Rage - At the slightest provocation, Dante can erupt into a tantrum. This can get him in a lot of trouble, as his concerns for the safety of others plummet.
