Appearance

Cicuta is a rather distorted embodiment of the creepy devil himself, Ortiga. From his long, lanky body, to his thin, bony fingers which, much like his predecessor's, end in elongated, sharpened nails. At six feet and 10 inches tall, his lanky form is exemplified, giving him an imposing silhouette. His eyes, which are a deep azure blue, his nose and his jawline are dangerously sharp, giving him a devious, threatening look. Underneath his eyes are a pair of small, isosceles triangle tattoos which mirror those of his predecessor; they extend to his cheekbones.

These devilish features are further brought out by his mouth, which is always open; Because of this, his teeth (which are all canines) are clearly visible. In addition to his shark-like teeth, Cicuta's tongue, which is longer than his mouth gives it room, normally hangs out from his mouth. At 8 inches long, the only reason he's able to house it within his mouth if necessary is because it is both sharper and thinner than an average human tongue. Unless told otherwise, it hangs from his mouth.

On his head, Cicuta holds the remnants of his hollow mask from his past. The mask itself accounted for most of his former form; now, the teeth, which outlined the bottom of the mask, now form a laurel of teeth which he wears around his head. His hair is an unkept mess of dark blue which falls to his back in length; it's cut just short enough in front to avoid hiding any facial features.

His entire uniform, much like any other arrancar, is as white as snow. The jacket of his shirt is long enough to be considered a robe, as it reaches his ankles in length. The interior colouring is black, which can be seen from the collar of the jacket. Despite its length, the jacket is very form-fitting, perfectly meeting his lanky torso. The ends of the sleeves, however, are bell-like, which gives him much wrist space. The jacket is completely open, and therefor his neck and a strip-like portion of his torso can be seen clearly. He wears a black sash around his waist, which holds his jacket to his sides.

Cicuta keeps his blade with him at all times. Said blade is a thin, two-handed great sword. At 6 feet in length (The blade being 4 ft. 4 in., The guard 2 in. thick, and the hilt being 1 ft. 6 in.), the blade almost rivals him in length. The metal that is the 'blade' of the sword appears to be a fine, near-white substance. It is titanium in chemical makeup, though even Cicuta doesn't know this. It has no actual 'guard', simply a bronze 'cap' for the bottom of the sword, which further holds the blade in place. The sheath of the blade is black in colour; it lies on the arrancar's back, held in place by a leather strap which reaches around his torso.

Personality

Cicuta is cruel and unusual in his actions, rude and extremely lecherous, all attributes which are further increased by his demonic appearance and visage. He will make a lewd remark at almost anyone, regardless of their affiliation or rank, often commenting on his opponents in battle and pointing out rude quirks on their styles. He is quite possibly one of the more foul-mouthed individuals in the word, rarely paying respects or dues, and focusing more on putting others down than anything else.

He like to steadily improve himself as a whole, which contradicts his personality. He believes in evolution so fully that he is willing to put his life on the line to grow stronger, no matter the situation. This impulse is only quelled by his master, Ortiga, who holds priority over his selfish reasoning and actions. Beneath the surface, while Cicuta would never admit to such a thing, there lies a deep feeling of affection, loyalty, and concern for his master.

Deep within, Cicuta bares an extremely strong inferiority complex, which is most likely due to his coming to be. As a lesser creature, he knew full well the consequences of being weaker than others, and even now, as a hollow, strives to become the strongest creature in existence to avoid having to feel such despair and uselessness anymore. At his core, he would do anything to achieve power, even if it would cost him his life.

History

Cicuta's tale is unique, but not in its length, but its own way. This story starts with the primera Espada, Ortiga Azoul, and his rather unique dormir; The power to cough up smaller, miniature versions of hollows, which he calls 'Polyps'. This was a power that the arrancar displayed pre-shinigamification; The polyps, therefore, resemble his former, full-hollow form. Small, masked creatures which resembled jellyfish, in a sense; He would, and still can, use them for a variety of purposes.

Cicuta is an arrancar that was, technically, born from said ability. Yes, there was most likely a soul which originally provided the catalyst for him to be brought to life, but as far as his memory serves him, he began as one of Ortiga's Polyps. Normally, this would have been a short, 'sweet' life, with his creator eventually deciding to get rid of him in a fiery blaze, but that, interestingly enough, did not happen. Ortiga kept him, and allowed him to grow and become stronger under a careful, watchful eye.

Eventually, as a Polyp, Cicuta grew so strong that his mask was only held in place by spiritual magnetism. It was at this point that it's master, Ortiga Azoul, forcefully ripped away and tore the hollow's mask from him, inadvertently (and purposefully) causing Cicuta to evolve from a smaller, miniature hollow, to an arrancar. It was a coming of terms which Cicuta, to this day, still does not understand. Regardless, much like his former objective drove him to protect his master, he still aligns himself blindly with Ortiga and his cause.

Combat

Strengths

Cicuta gets a kick out of both physically and mentally torturing opponents, a habit which has inadvertently engraved a common set of human, shinigami, and arrancar weaknesses into his mind. His verbal insults can rile up even the most tempered of individuals, leading them to recklessly abandon guard, and open themselves up for attack.

Weaknesses

His steep view on evolution and deeply planted inferiority complex lay the grounds for a major vulnerability in Cicuta; Pride. As an existence, he constantly challenges his own limits and would glady place himself in danger to further increase his own strength. This mindset normally places the arrancar under more danger than it doesn't.
