Appearance
The outfit Cal is wearing in the picture is more or less for theatrical purposes, for when she's selling the jewellery she's made. Her civilian clothing consists of sturdy boots, blue cargo pants, a black, form-fitting T-shirt, a worn brown leather jacket and her hair is usually on two half-braids (braided halfway). Accessories include a bone-choker as depicted in the picture. Calleigh is roughly 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighs about 138 pounds, decently shaped and somewhat thin.
Personality
Cal is calm, collected and sophisticated... Usually. She is, however, known for her fiery temper and fierce determination: if you make her angry, she will stop at nothing until she has exacted her revenge on you. Though generally an easy-going person, Calleigh will do anything to keep others, even strangers, safe, even if it might cost her her own well-being. She's ready to match up against a group of men twice her size and mass if it means she can keep someone else out of harm's way. And besides, she's a pretty decent fighter, she can handle herself.
Cal is fiercely independent, has a strong sense of justice and has strong morals that cannot be swayed by any means at all: in fact, it doesn't matter what she does, she'll be quick to confront the other side and she's ready to drag the fight on for hours if she sees it fit. Her heritage has taught her how to be tolerant of others and their beliefs, and her time in the Badlands in solitary retreats have also brought her wisdom. She'll often throw proverbs at you rather than explaining things to you, which, admittably, has earned her the reputation of a wise-ass.
Calleigh also has the habit of singing songs whatever she's doing. Cleaning, cooking, weaving, braiding, anything, and she'll be singing. She doesn't care who might be listening, or if she's even completely on key, because it relaxes her and helps her concentrate. She's an okay singer, but hardly the greatest you'll ever hear.
Cal loves her freedom above all else, and her hobby reflects it. Cal is a traceuse: a practitioner of parkour. If she's not working or doing anything else, she'll most likely be scaling walls and buildings, jumping from one building to another in an effort to feel free. And why not, she's skilled enough to make it seemed like she really is flying. Calleigh's agility, stamina and speed have all been improved by her hobby, and that's the reason she fares so well in combats even if she's not a hard hitter: she has an okay knowledge of where to hit and when to maximize the damage and minimize the effort. Or she might just simply use her environment to her advantage.
History
Calleigh White Fox was born in the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota to a Lakota man and a Caucasian woman. Her parents disappeared when she was 3 or 4 in strange circumstances and she was left in the care of her Grandfather. Cal herself doesn't remember this, but her Grandfather often told her that she used to have "imaginary friends" that often would seem very much like some of the recently deceased according to her descriptions, and when they disappeared, she told him how black butterflies always came to take them away.
Cal's father had been a shaman, and her Grandfather theorized that maybe her father's skill to see what others couldn't had transferred into little Calleigh. And since she was 6, Calleigh spent most of her time with the Elders of the reservation, listening and learning about their mythology and everything the elders could possible say about spirituality and the spirit world. This left Calleigh the odd man out, and she didn't know how to act with children her age and didn't really have friends as a child, aside from a large mutt that lived next door.
After she turned 10, her Grandfather would take her camping to the Badlands to get closer to the Nature and its Spirits and to meditate on her totem animals. A total of three appeared to her: the eagle, the cat and the fox. Five years later Calleigh started to go to these retreats alone, after learning how to survive in the nature well enough to do so. Cal seemed to be more in touch with the spirits than her father ever was, according to her Grandfather at least, but she really noticed it during her retreats. She couldn't explain it, but in a way, she heard what the Nature was telling her, even though it didn't "speak". Calleigh, her Grandfather, and two of her other relatives were also master trackers and often helped the officials in searching for lost campers in the Badlands with good success: only a handful of the campers and hikers they were searching for were never found.
Five years ago Calleigh's Grandfather passed away. While Cal was sad, she also knew that not seeing the ghost of her Grandfather was a good thing: he had moved on and was in no danger to becoming a monster. She herself had seen one only once or twice and fainted. Later she had put a few numbers together (ghosts + chain and start of a hole in the chest, then there's hole in the chest + definitely ghostly in essence) and was almost sure that either the rage of the ghost or something else had transformed it into a monster. She wasn't sure why it didn't come after her, but she wasn't complaining either.
In the absence of her Grandfather's company, Calleigh turned to self-studying in her free time. She studied a few languages to get better jobs, but soon grew bored of her mundane life in a place so familiar. So she turned her attention towards another mythologically rich country: Japan. Cal worked hard to get some more money, plowed through the necessary paperwork she needed to stay an extended period of time in Japan, packed her bags and left. She started a small business manufacturing and selling Native American jewellery and accessories, and found a surprisingly profitable venue for them. Who knows, maybe she'll meet more spirits here!

Strengths
Sensitivity - Calleigh can pinpoint people with disturbing accuracy if she needs to by latching onto their reiatsu signature via for example a personal object. She can also detect those with heightened senses, though she rarely if ever realizes this: she merely wonders why she gets a different vibe from them than she usually gets off of people.
Quick-Witted - Calleigh's reflexes and reaction time are well above the average, due to her hobby. Not only is she quick to react, she can also estimate distances, heights, a couple of possible scenarios, the movements of her opponents and quickest routes in the matter of seconds, though ironically, she's horrible at math.

Sensitivity - In addition to being a great strength, this is also quite the hindrance. Cal is so sensitive to reiatsu that a sudden spike in the area may cause her to loose consciousness for a few moments or at the very least feel woozy and light headed. She will also feel unsettled and uncomfortable in the presence of shinigami, nauseous in the presence of hollows.
