Appearance
A feminine hollow, with the upper torso of a young woman, and the lower torso of something resembling an octopus. The skin of the creature is a cold, dark blue; It's nails, longer than most human's, are about 4 inches in length, razor sharp, and hard to break. Her hair, raven black, long and flowing, reaches the lumbar of her back quite easily.
Her lower half can be characterized as having similarities to an octopus. White in color with black circles (a similar patter to the blue-ringed octopus), the 'arms' reach about 10 feet in length, and each of them possess several hundred suction feelers underneath. These feelers have a pleasuring sensation to them, like 1,000 kisses, and thus many men and women alike have succumb to their grasp. A definite difference, however, is that Arumaera possesses a grand total of 12 'arms', excluding her upper arms. A dangerous aspect of her body is her mouth; Located beneath the arms, roughly where the human pelvis would be; Anthing it eats is immediately broken down, atom by atom, in Arumaera's stomach. Much like with any cephalopod, the mouth isn't readily visible unless you're already dangerously close to it.
Arumaera's mask lacks a few features that most masks have; The most notable example being that despite having a voice, her mask has no mouth. In addition, only one of her eyes is shown; There is no opening for the other (the left eye), and even if there was, her lengthy hair falls over the area covering it up. The eye that is shown, however, is slit; there is no trace of humanity in it.
Personality
Arumaera is a greedy, selfish, and devious hollow. Driven by her instinctive need to eat souls, Arumaera plays off of her feminine charms to lure young men away from others, getting them by themselves before she lashes out and sucks every last drop of spiritual energy from them, before eating them with her lower mouth. Her ability to eat both physical and spiritual material means that any victim she assaults will normally never leave any sort of evidence behind; They simply disappear without a trace. She prides herself on her lower arms; Anything caught in them has drastically low chances of escaping, and even if they are cut or sliced off, they grow back with time.
When angered, Arumaera can prove to be extremely vengeful, sometimes deciding to use her tentacles to squeeze a person to death before eating them, and other times simply leaving them in a near-death state, that they may recover and be further tortured to appease her. If she finds a victim she likes in particular, she may capture them and continue to feed on their spiritual energy, instead of eating them.
History
Before she died, Arumaera was a swimmer. Named Rina Aizawa, age 19, she was a top-class swimmer in her division, deciding to get into professional swimming competitions after leaving high school. As an athlete, she was top-notch; She never did anything that would harm her body, and kept to strict regimen of workouts and proper dieting. Her parents, proud as they were of her, never pushed her too far to be great, and Rina loved them for their passive support.
She would go on to win two tournaments in the year following her graduation from high school, and would be publicized as a soon-to-be great thing in the papers. Rina was at the top of her game, as far as her game could take her; To celebrate, her parents would take her out to the beach, and have a bit of non-competitive fun in the water for once. It was a bad decision, though they couldn't have known this.
The day of their planned vacation, a freak accident occurred. Rina and her parents, on their way to the beach, were caught in a car accident; The girl, who didn't have her seat belt on, was slung out of the side of the car, the impact from which would prove fatal. The medical examiner on the scene estimated that she died within seconds. Ejected from her body, Rina was forced to watch as her parents, who were in shambles, were made to leave the scene of the crime. For a long time after that, they were hung up over her death.
And then, suddenly, they got better.
It bothered the girl that while she had died, and yet was still there on Earth, her parents, over time, seemed to simply forget about her. Her room was taken down, everything in their house regarding her either put away in storage or thrown away; While her parents viewed it as 'moving on', Rina was distraught over the fact that they had so easily given up on her. Over time, as her rage and despair grew, she allowed herself to forget about her parents as loved ones, and know them only as vile people who desecrated her memory. Eventually, that hatred consumed her, and Rina became Arumaera.
And you can probably guess who her first two victims were.
Combat
Strengths
Arumaera's 'arms' are as deadly as any weapon; Once a victim is caught in their suction grasp, she begins to strangle them, while using her special suction feelers to suck their spiritual energy right out of them. Because the entire process is both painful and pleasuring to the vitcim, Arumaera prides herself on being able to give a person a 'slow, pleasing death'.
Weaknesses
Her lower body is boneless, and therefore lacks constitution; While her arms can regenerate, they are just as easy to cut away, so long as you don't get caught.
